I'd love to have one of these right about now. T'is a mighty fine beer IMO.
Been on an Arrogant Bastard and 90 Minute IPA kick lately for some reason. Guess you can't go wrong with the old stand-bys.

Hmmm, perhaps I'll go out and hit up the Nail and change that, once the blazing ball decides to retire itself from the sky that is.

No thanks, I assume your "eXXXtreme woohoo yo dawg attitude in the house!!!!" product name is a substitute for quality.

Why do small-time beer and hot sauce makers pander to 10-year olds with their product naming?

Good strategy for staying small-time I guess.

Flying Dog makes some damn good beer.

And if their Maryland brewery tours are anywhere near as awesome as their Denver tours used to be, they are a fantastic beer-drinking experience. Anyone near Fredericksburg should definitely get themselves to the brewery.

I regularly buy from three nearby brewers. I always try local beer when I travel. Unless it has a "tee hee I sad biatch/cooter/titty" name.

Then it's ummm, I don't buy from frat boy morans.

Somehow I don't believe you. Flying dog brewery wins medals every year not only in the US, but internationally. But hey, you can be offended by the word biatch (which means female dog) coming from a brewery that names all their beers after dogs/dog related things. I'm sure those "frat boy morons* " at flying dog don't give a shiat what you think whilst they gaze at their wall of many shiny gold, silver, and bronze awards.

* fixed that for you

I've been enjoying Mayflower IPA recently. Sadly, they've had problems with bottling equipment and the supply may dry up for a while. I don't know how far out of Massachusetts it gets. Nice hop, nice malt... if you can find it, give it a try.

I'll have to give that a try - I see it sometimes at the liquor store but haven't bought a pack yet. Ipswich IPA is another really good Massachusetts brew.

Their Old Scratch Amber Ale is good, too. I'll try just about anything Flying Dog makes.

Off-beat product names are pretty common for microbreweries. Like He-Brew from Shmaltz brewery, with their Messiah Bold ("the beer you've been waiting for") . I like their tagline -- "Chutzpah never tasted so good".

There were a couple of bottles of this Raging Biatch on a beer festival in Jette, Brussels, I visited this spring (I am from Belgium myself). No one I know tried it... It was rather expensive compared to the Belgian beers and American beers just don't have a huge appeal when they 're serving a 100 Belgian beers. Zythos vzw, an organisation of hobby brewers organized it, so they had a lot of unknown and new beers. It was great. They also served a rare, 20-year-old gueuze... Very good. Not the sweet stuff they put on the market nowadays, but really sour, refreshing and tasty. All you American and Canadian zythophilos, get yer asses over here and visit beer heaven for a week. You'll never want anything else for the rest of your life.

/And I don't get the weird name thing...

I really don't get why Fark's filters are stuck in the early 90s. "Biatch" is perfectly acceptable on prime time television. I think I've even heard it on iCarly, and it's one of the best lines in Harry Potter. So why the continued ban on a word that nobody considers a curse word anymore?

Same with "shiat", though to a lesser extent. Again, it's on prime time television now. It's on bumper stickers. People don't give a shiat about shiat. Why censor it?

What's really weird is that Fark allows a lot of words that were in George Carlin's Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television (granted, a dated list), but several words that weren't on that list are still verboten on Fark. (biatch has even been allowed since the early 70s on daytime television)

Here's Carlin's list, typed without censoring. Let's see what the Fark filter captures, shall we?

shiat
Piss
fark
coont
Cocksucker
Motherfarker
Tits

See? No "biatch" on that list. Because censoring "biatch" is stupid and has always been stupid. Nobody's offended by it. That list was created in 1972, and it still didn't have "biatch" on it.

The Fark sensibilities about dirty words are all screwed up and outdated. Who made the list? Why are "tits" or "asshole" allowed, but "biatch" is not?

I may get in hot water over this. I hope not, because I like to think Fark's a place where I can speak my mind and question illogical things, but can someone please explain why "biatch" is filtered?

Almost all of their beers are named with a dog theme. So it's not out of the question that they are following with their trend. So go back to drinking your dog piss coors or bud light. and you definitely sound like a frat bro.
