Salem Witch: Once again, time to make dinner, medicate Suzy and get ready for loud booms.

I know the meds aren't very strong but I hate drugging Suzy. I feel like such a bad Mom. Poor little thing just gets terrified though.

But on the upside, no work tomorrow. YAY!

Mikey is standing on the freezer outside the window asking to come in. I just can't trust him with the baby bird in the house.
OK, just let him in, gave him some of the grilled turkey and a corn cob. He ate, looked at little Beeper and then ask to go back out! He is real agitated. I think it is because the power company is replacing a transformer that got hit by lightning today. He hates people around.

Salem Witch: a direct descendent of an historical Salem Witch, and would like to be included in the group. My 8th G-Grandmother was Sarah Towne Cloyce, sister of Rebecca Nurse.

I don't remember who that was.


Sarah Towne Cloyce was accused but wasn't executed. She received compensation for the death of Rebecca (the very oldest woman accused, I believe) and another executed sister. She was Sarah in the movie "Three Sovereigns for Sarah." Still haven't seen it--Netflix doesn't have it.

Way past my bedtime. But I did finnish the JAWS (Job Access With Speech) version of the local ham club newsltr for the 2 guys whose computers read it to them -- bad kitty for not doing this earlier, but now it's done.

Still awaiting the column(s) for the women's ham newsltr, which may not come in time for me to finnish that one before we need to Get Mobile. In which case that one will be a wk late -- but at least there isn't a members' meeting to get the issue out before. Not that soon, at any rate.

No fireworks here this weekend (my town does it up the last Saturday of this month) but we've had a Civil War re-enactment going on all weekend across the bay, with REALLY loud cannon booms every 90" or so. Hasn't seemed to have bothered Jazzy, Micky, or Ripley, though.

I lost most of my close friends shortly after the kitchen table incident. The ones that remain live just out of reach for any spontaneous activity. I do have many acquaintances, but nobody I'd want to take to the park.

Pineapples: LOTS of people have pro-grade fireworks illegally anymore. I thought it was recreation of the Civil War last night! Grab a lawn chair, wander around your neighborhood, and see what people are blowing up for free! We never had fireworks as a kid. We never had birthday parties, bbq-s, or any kind of parties; ma said 'too expensive', so most of the time, we got a burger and sat on the porch to watch the free neighbor's parties. (I got an umbrella for my 12th b-day. That's it. Ma bought herself a $200 dress and disappeared all weekend. Anyways...) Don't feel bad-- all I have is 1/3 of a bag of Bugles and a Faygo Cherry Coke. I'll try to catch some stuff from the I-696 service drive, if I can't, I'll go to bed--just try to have fun, if you want! There are lots of us who spend the holidays kinda squicked; I just ignore the festivities unless invited, and try not to think about it. It was easier w/Dad around; we'd marathon some video game or other all day, but the net is okay. :)

Anyhow, hope you all are 'partying heartily' and have a beer for me! Banzai!!
