What brown people death total would kick Obama's toughness rating up a notch?

What is this guy's problem? Does anyone remember how long it took him to get involved in bombing Libya?

Forget it, he's rolling.

Troy McClure: What brown people death total would kick Obama's toughness rating up a notch?

Well you see, the president is a darkie, so killing darkies isn't foreign policy, it's domestic policy. If Fartbama were to kill whites, he'd have himself a foreign policy. Remember, foreign means different and scary.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but would a timid person order Osama bin Laden to essentially be executed during a clandestine Navy SEAL operation?

Dear Tim,

I don't like Bush's Iraq / Afghanistan wars. I don't like Obama's Libya war. I don't want you, or anyone else to start more.

Hugs and kisses,
~Lenny

P.S. No worries, I wasn't going to vote for you anyways.

Unfail:

-Obama is "leading from behind" in the NATO-lead Libya "kinetic military action"
-Obama has done nothing against Syria for killing its own people, except call Assad a "reformer"
-Obama has done nothing to help the Green Revolution in Iran.
-Obama has done nothing to aid the Arab Spring

So, yeah, Obama has a timid foreign policy.

This neatly encapsulates why, even if I don't agree with lots of things Obama does, the Republican Party still does not have a viable alternative.

I don't like how quick Obama is with the drone strikes. The GOP alternative is manned aircraft and soldiers.

I don't like that Obama has been dragging his feet on Gitmo. The GOP alternative is to keep it open forever.

I don't like that Obama continues the War on Drugs. The GOP alternative is exactly the same.

I don't like that Obama supported renewing the Bush Tax Cuts. The GOP alternative is, again, exactly the same.

I don't like that Obama didn't push for single payer. The GOP alternative is Medicare vouchers.

Of course, since my problems with Obama don't match conservatives' problems with Obama, I'm frequently called an Obot worshipping the Obamessiah.

Those truly are issues that resonate with the American people. Good luck running on that platform.

The GOP hired Osama bin Laden. President Obama gave bin Laden his termination papers. No amount of talking points will diminish that minor fact.

2011-06-28 01:29:35 PM
Here's a link with more quotes. (new window) He also wanted Obama to help kick Ahmadinejad out a couple years ago:

Pawlenty said that when the Iranian ayatollahs "stole an election," the Iranian people rightly protested while Obama "held his tongue."

"His silence validated the mullahs, despite the blood on their hands and the nuclear centrifuges in their tunnels," Pawlenty said.

So another Republican that doesn't realize those revolutions need to be completely native with no Western influences in order to be seen as legitimate by the Iranian people. Awesome.

I don't know about y'all but Obama's wishy washy response to the Arab Spring mess is exactly what this country needs to do. It's none of our business.

Not that that will stop everyone from pissing on the US for either doing too much or not enough.

It's the GOP preventing Obama from closing Gitmo. There was a plan to move the inmates to some currently-unused prison in UP Michigan at least ten miles away from the nearest ANYTHING, but the combination of GOP stonewalling and nimby soccer moms scared that the terrorists would use their super-powers to break out and fly airplanes into the local Wal-Mart prevented that from happening.

I think the problem here might be the fact that the GOP only gets their news feeds from Fox, therefore they don't actually know what is happening in the world.

Unfortunately... and it was so tempting too, but I know the assertions are absurd and inflamatory and no serious conversation on those topics are possible. Honestly, it sure has a canis noir feel to it, let's see what develops. Maybe we can narrate, as if we were watching a tennis match.

He also planned to move about 100 detainees to Illinois. One of the big problems was that Congress voted to ban any funding to be used for closing Gitmo. Which, to be fair, meant some Democrats were doing the same pants-wetting.

What did he get his week wrong?

Was it "Obama is being too mean to Osama Bin Laden and Qaddafi week" when he thought it was "Obama is cut and run and will shrink up against the battle on terrorism week"?

I don't know how Republicans keep it straight either. I guess that's why they all listen to Rush in the morning so they can know what to be outraged about.

This is the flaw with opinion polling that asks "Do you approve of the President's handling of 'X'?"

Well, my answer is probably no. But certainly not because I'm to the right of the President.

farking false dichotomies in American politics.

Does Tim "I'd like a personality with fries, please" Pawlenty know what timid means?

Well, I guess when Romney and Huntsman are taking fairly sane positions that still allow them to criticize President Obama, Pawlenty's got to distinguish himself somehow.
