I wonder how PA earned that distinction.

Fixed that for how their minds work.

So Fred's plan is to taunt a bunch of people who make their living by having no impulse control whatsoever? By insulting their dead friend? This isn't some upright soldier's family that worries about things like honor or dignity. I feel like this can't possibly end well for the Phelps clan (until they sue, anyway).

The Grinch: Goshen, PA (one of the most evil states to ever exist)

Come on, WBC. I've smelled Pittsburgh too, but next to New York and New Jersey, Pennsylvania is like the Amish neighbor.

I've seen New York and New Jersey do things Pennsylvania didn't know were anatomically possible.

Ex: Man walks out of bodega, man stops and bends over the gutter, man pukes up a small dog.

The Aristocrats.

Mostly because of the existence of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

moops: He had three beers and three shots in the course of FOUR hours. That's drunk.

He was also doing, conservatively, a buck ten on a public road which was evidently beyond his ability to keep control of the car.

I'm not glad he's dead or anything but it's hard to feel too sorry for people who get killed through their own incredible recklessness.

Deucednuisance: Twigz221: Another thread where people call Ryan Dunn a drunk driver, even though there's no solid evidence that he was drunk.

Fine. He was just a lousy driver who over-estimated his capabilities to handle high speed and killed two people.

Better?

Not really.

What proof do you have that he was speeding? How do you know that he wasn't swerving to avoid a deer or that his car suffered a mechanical failure?

It's all speculation isn't it? The question is do you want to condemn him or give him the benefit of the doubt until the investigation is concluded? Do you operate on the basis of innocent until proven guilty or guilty until proven innocent?

This.

Further evidence of free-will before the tree can be seen in Adam's first wife, who chose to be independent. This is why God made Eve from Adam's rib, rather than from clay.

Say what you will about WBC, but they are pretty much always thinking three moves ahead.

Let their heirs sue

Isn't it about time someone firebomb their sorry excuse for a church with everyone locked in it?

Ryan Dunn was funny, but he was also an asshole for drinking before he went out driving like an idiot and got someone else killed. But these asshats will use any reason at all to go protest and spout their hatred of everything that isn't them. There is freedom of speech, and then there is being a hateful asshole who interferes in the rights of others.

I think Weaver lives in that state. Have him tell you what you have to go through to buy a six-pack, a case, a bottle of wine, and a bottle of vodka for a party.

There is evidence. There is no absolute proof. There's enough evidence that I'm okay with caliing him a friend killing drunk driver.

There is a picture of him drinking hours before the crash.
The car left a 100' skid mark before leaving the road.

Diogenes: We gave ourselves free will by eating of the Tree. And we see how cool God was with that.

I do not think that is correct. If we didn't have free will prior to that, then how could we eat from the tree if god didn't want us to. Eating from the tree gave us knowledge of sin not free will.

The bar owner has a vested interest in saying that since it's illegal to serve the 'visibly intoxicated'. That doesn't mean he's lying, necessarily, but I'd take it with a grain of salt.

Wow. Westboro must be falling on serious hard times to do their trolling on this crowd. I'm guessing Phelps is praying for a scratch from an errant piece of gravel kicked up from an MTV van.

Although I think it would be fairly awesome, and fitting, for Knoxville to turn the tables and pull some kinda Jackass-style prank on the WBC crowd.

Seriously, Westboro: When you have to resort to taunting the Jackass Generation, maybe it's time you found a source of income NOT dependant on lawsuits?

I don't really understand why it matters if he was drunk or not. It's not like the guy was evil. If he was drunk, then he made a horrible mistake. If he wasn't, then a horrible accident happened. I guess I just don't see why so many people are all 'served him right!' when the guy wasn't doing anything maliciously.
He was almost definitely drunk, I just don't see how that it makes it any less of a tragedy.
