I dunno, this seems like a slap in the face to those in the military killed in action.

The Stealth Hippopotamus: The time is finally here Fark!! The Westboro Folk are going to get curb stomped by a group that has the ability and zero money to sue for.

Now all we need is someone to sell tickets...

Just send me $19.95 and I will have it packaged up and sent with a personalized memo straight from WBC's Phantom Phelpster to you... "To ______, guided by God's hand."

Not really, but it sounded good at the time...

Is Mike Vallely going?

If so, I hope we get a video like this (new window).

Good times to come?

Mirrorz: I'm Bam Margera and this is my Lambo plowing through the Phelps clan.

Did he have it fixed yet from when someone putting diesel fuel in it?

Anyway, this could be a good thing. This could be the moment the Jackass crew finally justify their existence.

It's funny how most of these people are lawyers, yet they talk like they're in junior high.

Somebody will more time/better Photoshop skills than me needs to recreate the Fark re-redesign with "Ryan Dunn" in place of "Showbiz."

Any publicity is good publicity I guess.

i would pay to see this on pay per view but it seems like the wb church never shows up. they threaten to, get ppl all in a tizzy and then scrap the idea.

Diogenes: Goshen, PA (one of the most evil states to ever exist)

I wonder how PA earned that distinction.

I heard it's in the top 50.

2011-06-21 12:08:10 PM
This is a sign of the apocalypse

2011-06-21 12:08:15 PM
I still think there is more to this story, and that maybe it is all faked.

I mean they honestly expect us to think someone from PA was going faster than the speed limit? In the right lane no less?

Diogenes: Demetrius: Diogenes: We gave ourselves free will by eating of the Tree

So it was god's choice that we ate from the tree? Because we didn't have free will before that, so it must have been his choice...right?

Snake set us up. ;-)

But... God made the snake?

/I'm not getting their 12,000 year old logic.

2011-06-21 12:08:26 PM
It would be pretty hilarious if they had his coffin explode, spraying everyone there with pieces of his corpse.

2011-06-21 12:08:31 PM
Does the public realize there are only like three of them left? Thousands showed up in Nashville to counter-protest and there were only three of them. That's not a movement, that's just three random jackasses. Someone slashed their tires and the rest of us have moved on.

2011-06-21 12:08:43 PM
If these guys just stand for hating everything aren't they more like internet trolls than a church? They're a big circle jerk hating everything and slapping each other on the backs just like we are.

Dont feed em

2011-06-21 12:08:56 PM

Demetrius: This could be a good thing. I'm sure there are a lot of Ryan Dunn fans that will be more than willing to give these Westboro farktards what they have coming to them.

Uh, that's the point. These people go out, legally protest in the most infuriating way possible, and sue the pants off anything that tries to stop them. They're awful scum, but the only way to win is to COMPLETELY ignore them.

2011-06-21 12:09:30 PM

kapaso: So it will be the Jackass crowd versus Westboro Baptist church, I don't know who to root for.

I'm just rooting for a good show. Whoever loses, we all win.

That would be bad news for Fred and his crew.

2011-06-21 12:10:13 PM
The crash was in West Goshen, PA (near Philly). The turd of a PDF said Goshen, which is near Clearfield, in the western third of the state.

/Oh, right...it's the WBC....

2011-06-21 12:10:33 PM
There are always headlines like this whenever WBC announces a "protest," and then nothing ever happens.

It will be the same here.

2011-06-21 12:10:45 PM
A bunch of guys who get paid millions of dollars to be crazy and make poor decisions?

$ounds like an excellent opportunity, i bet the WBC is just drooling in anticipation.

Too much to hope for this to be one of those "One Tin Soldier" moments where both sides wipe themselves out...leaving a disheveled, confused Bam Margera to amble off the battlefield...only to be run over by a drunken Roger Ebert who then smashes into a tree?

You're just mad because it was more famous than that time when you stuck that die-cast 747 up your ass.

gilgigamesh: They won't sue the attackers, except maybe as John Does. They will sue the city for failing to adequately provide police protection. Then they get a fat settlement which will fund further asshattery.

Say what you will about WBC, but they are pretty much always thinking three moves ahead.

The WBC are well aware of how much Knoxville and Co. are worth.

Phelps is probably salivating like a hungry wolf sniffing out a wounded lamb.

Of course there is no solid evidence. It's splattered across the dashboard of his car.

There is evidence. There is no absolute proof. There's enough evidence that I'm okay with caliing him a friend killing drunk driver.

There is a picture of him drinking hours before the crash.
The car left a 100' skid mark before leaving the road.

Twigz221: yay. Another thread where people call Ryan Dunn a drunk driver, even though there's no solid evidence that he was drunk.

There's more solid evidence that he was drunk than there is that he was driving.

Pictures and accounts from friends indicated he'd had 3 beers and 3 shots a short time before the crash.

This is a good opportunity for me to put up a link to a fascinating essay about the Phelps family and why they are so messed up, and the few in the clan who bailed and why they will have nothing to do with their birth family. This article was originally submitted as an exhibit in a court case where Jon Michael Bell (the author) sued Staffer Communications back in 1994.

People always had free will and choice - that goes with having a soul. The tree gave people the knowledge of good and evil - one could say it gave people the ability to make an informed choice.

Meanwhile - the only time I laughed out loud during this whole terrible Ryan story was picturing what the Jackassers might have planned for the Phelp's people - and wether they'll televise it.

You can't sue when your face is so swollen you can't open your mouth.
I don't think they realize what class of human they'll be up against. Hell, I'll bet half of the funeral procession will be shiatfaced.

Fine. He was just a lousy driver who over-estimated his capabilities to handle high speed and killed two people.

He had three beers and three shots in the course of FOUR hours. That's drunk.

He deserved his fate and he's a horrible person for bringing another person to his grave because he's above the law.

For a second I thought you were talking about Farkers, but then I realized that there probably aren't many lawyers here.
