Heh... God has a 33% approval rating?

Obama: Bigger than God.

Oh, and FTFA:

The poll finds that Americans are being affected by their anger in other parts of life as well. Fifty-six percent are so angry that they can't even sleep and 13 percent say the anxiety has affected their sex life. Twenty-six percent of married respondents claim the country's economic problems have affected their marriage, with more than half of those people saying it has made their marriage worse.

Now, call me crazy, but if it the economy were fine, don't you think that people who are crazy enough to let it affect their sleep and sex life might not just find something else to be angry about and still be sleepless and sexless because of it?

If we just voted the Democrats more power, these problems would be solved once and for all.

One thing that pisses me off is that we keep talking about the housing market "being in the dumps," yet there are a shiatload of EMPTY F*CKING HOUSES in this country that have been on the market for at least a year, and are STILL priced twice as high as they should be.

Voting for Republicans has made things worse. What have they done so far? They backed out of their own plan to destroy Medicare. What do you think will happen when they have more power? More games, less solutions. Just like their dear leader Dubya who has conveniently been forgotten about.

Vote Republican, this is what you get: a destroyed economy.

Oh, and re: the housing market, if you bought in the past 20 years and are pissed that you lost out on your opportunity to make two or three times the price you paid for your home... sorry, you greedy f*ckstick, you're PROBABLY going to take a hit, and you deserve it for propping up an absolutely insane market.

If you bought a house in the past 20 years and don't plan on moving, and don't view your house as an "investment" or "collateral," congratulations on owning a fine home, and I hope when the day comes that you DO need to sell (or your kids need to sell), in 20 or 30 years, the economy will be normalized. Of course, you probably wouldn't care about not doubling your profits when you owned a home for fifty farking years and had many great times within it.
And since you don't look at your house as a big piggy bank, I'm sure you're just as pissed as I am at what's happened to the housing market.

In a purely individualistic society, everyone will be angry. You pass a point where one persons individualism affects everyone around them, and then times that by millions.

You end up with worse quality of life* than in places where a more collectivists mindset still exists and people by and large pull their farking heads in, noyt annoying the heck out of everyone around them.

*Note - quality of life is not measured in HD TVs and cars in the driveway.

Well, until people realize they aren't gonna get their money back from the overpriced home they refinanced eight times, prices are still gonna be a little off. I'm house hunting in Roanoke, VA right now and some of the asking prices are ridiculous.

I don't think i'm angry, i'm just confused. I look around and the only sane people in the country seem to be democrats and libertarians. it's like being on one long strange extended LSD trip where people talk and talk and talk but don't make any sense at all and no matter how hard you try you can't seem to sober up.

Voting for anyone who will tax a family income 99% above $130K/year is in my best interest. For some people a high tax rate for anyone clearing $50K/year is right up their alley. Just because something is in my best interest does not mean that it is best for the country as a whole. I think next time I'll just put a big sign in my yard that says "Vote For Sale."

The problem with both parties is that they are traitors. When the other side is in power, they want very much for the US to do badly so they can be in charge again.

Not seeing anything about God in the actual poll results... But yeah, Americans are apparently whiny b*tches with unrealistic expectations and entitled attitudes. Also, it just asks whether anger has affected their sex lives, not if it's positively or negatively.

I was wondering the same thing. I've lived in three states in the last ten years, and worked in a fourth. I can't imagine living in the same place for 20 years.

Incontinent_dog_and_monkey_rodeo: The problem with both parties is that they are traitors. When the other side is in power, they want very much for the US to do badly so they can be in charge again.

actually, the problem these days is that we've got the Democrats (the party of Bad Ideas) up against the Republicans - who are the party of No Ideas.

seriously - the Republican stance on everything is to oppose whatever the Democrats (and Obama) come up with. no discussion, no compromise, no analysis. If a Democrat wants to do it, the Republicans vote it down. If Obama wants to do something, they oppose it.

if you hold a democracy and nobody shows up to participate...what then?
