cool!
I might be in the area that week.
Any hope for a STL Fark party?

2003-08-22 02:37:56 AM
I'll probably hit it up. Wish I hadn't quit drinking and smoking, but I'll manage.

2003-08-22 02:38:01 AM
I'm only going if it's breathing fire. Is it?

2003-08-22 02:40:48 AM
Maybe I'll go outside that day.

Sept 5th = My B-day

2003-08-22 03:02:48 AM
So, where is it?

2003-08-22 03:05:37 AM
I live in Tucson, I'd like to go...but, I'm only 20. I'm assuming George & Dragon is a bar or club....

2003-08-22 03:19:05 AM
Is George and Dragon related to the one in Seattle? If so, that's gonna be a cool place to meet.

2003-08-22 03:22:16 AM
Ok,it says it's just a restaurant, guess I might go. I'm a total newbie, so do you just meet and mingle at these things?

2003-08-22 03:27:42 AM
what do you people do at a party
I just can't imagine

2003-08-22 03:33:06 AM
Discuss new ways to use Ackbar in PS threads i think. Maybe stare at all the guys wondering where Ku_no_Ichi is..

2003-08-22 03:35:10 AM
Phoenix? T Methinks there's no gas there...

2003-08-22 03:48:30 AM
I cannot get enough of this kid!

2003-08-22 03:49:24 AM
Why would anyone go to a place where gas is over $3/gallon?

2003-08-22 03:50:08 AM
erm.. let's try this again..

<-- this kid

2003-08-22 03:59:34 AM

But good spot for it... =)

2003-08-22 04:02:54 AM

New to PHX, so I'll roll.

Anybody skate at the wedge?

2003-08-22 04:19:06 AM
So those under the age of 21 can get in there? I might have to go since I don't think there is ever going to be a Yuma Fark party.. :(

2003-08-22 04:21:40 AM
The G&D is a good place. English beers on draft are good (and it's not often you hear an Irishman like me say that!). Unfortunately, I've a prior that evening. Someone hoist a Newkie Brown for me.

2003-08-22 04:42:07 AM
hey G&D is an awesome place. Me and a good lady friend of mine will be there for sure. All you Phoenix farkers should show up. You can't NOT have a good time at George and the dragon. Good beers. Good women. Good atmosphere. I got a beer for the first 3 farkers that show!

2003-08-22 06:08:05 AM
I would go...if I had any gas.

2003-08-22 06:46:16 AM
I thought it was going to be at Casey Moore's in Tempe? When did it get changed?

2003-08-22 08:34:24 AM
If it's in college town I probaly wont go. If it's at George & Dragon I'm sooooooo there :). I cant stand mill ave area.

If it's in Tempe bust out at 4 peaks brewery behind Maloney's, good beer(Kilt Lifter) and smokage area cahoots.

I live at 2nd ave and Roosevelt so I like Central Phoenix better.

2003-08-22 08:35:37 AM
Um, what the FARK happened to Casey Moores?
George and the Dragon is still cool, but c'mon, gas is expensive and i guarantee most valley farkers live in the east valley. Besides, you can still smoke at Casey's because there's no way in hell we're fitting all you farkers inside. It'd be a patio party for sure.

2003-08-22 08:45:24 AM
hi

2003-08-22 09:46:03 AM
I'm there, dude.

2003-08-22 09:51:27 AM
I live in Surprise, but I'll be there - gas is still only $1.95 out by me. Oh! And G&D is located on Central, near Indian School. Part restaurant (with no smoking) and part bar. Great time, and a nice, central location for everyone.

See you all there!

2003-08-22 10:17:23 AM
It's a sad, sad day when "only $1.95 for gas" sounds like a deal.

Pixter:

The George and Dragon is a restaurant that serves British food. You should be able to go, I once took my then-girlfriend, who was eighteen, there for dinner.

2003-08-22 10:41:25 AM
I'm also new the valley... although Casey Moore's is right around the corner from where I'm at, so personally, I'd prefer that. I guess those of us who are cool and live in the east valley could have our own fark thing, because really, who wants to mix with all those peoria l00zers anyway...

2003-08-22 10:51:23 AM
grumble grumble...my little bro is getting married on the 6th in Kansas City so I won't be able to make it...sigh. Maybe he'll change it to the following weekend if I tell him there's a Fark party on the 5th? George and Dragon is a cool place to be. Good beer, food, and the waitresses are very kind on the eyes. Hoist a Guinness off the tap for me!

/Guinness the beer you can chew on

2003-08-22 11:48:04 AM
Ah! Much better site selection than other times. George & Dragon has fantastic beer selection, central location for metro area, and very nice British theme atmosphere.

2003-08-22 12:05:43 PM
Need to drag my ass down there then... *grumble grumble*. Seriously, it's cool that there's an AZ Fark Party, but Central is a long way from my little Scottsdale bubble...

2003-08-22 12:59:38 PM
Philly still sucks.

2003-08-22 01:46:30 PM
No longer live in Phx, but George and Dragon is one of the best bars in Phx. Definitely the best British Pub in Arizona. All ye who attend be lucky farkers verily.

2003-08-22 01:55:58 PM
someone please organize one in Florida--west palm beach area, i'll organize if anyone expresses any interest!

2003-08-22 02:26:26 PM
Any reason why this had to be scheduled on the day my cousin is getting married in Cali? Bleh. I would go too.

2003-08-22 02:45:25 PM
George and the Dragon is still cool, but c'mon, gas is expensive and i guarantee most valley farkers live in the east valley.

Of course they do. Everything is in the East Valley.
Those of us that are destitute and penniless out here around Arrowhead say hi. Last time I heard, Glendale and Peoria just started using the wheel and the discovery of medicine is just around the corner, so they might be able to get computers in 20 years? At least you guys over on the east side are getting an IKEA...good job, and not surprisingly, in Neil Giuliano's town too. Go figure.

G&D is a great location, it's central to all parts of the valley, not to mention a 5 minute walk from the building I work in...

2003-08-22 02:59:18 PM
I'll be there. I'm curious of the ration of male to females? Any predictions?
I'll report the actual later.

2003-08-22 03:26:47 PM
I'm so there!

2003-08-22 03:41:16 PM
The link still says Casey Moore's. Methinks someone is trying to hijack the party. Hell, the ad on the main page still goes to the same link that says Casey's. In the name of peace, how about an east valley party at Casey's, and a west valley at the George? Everybody happy, everybody post pics. Of course, all the pics from Casey's should have ASU hotties in them. Guess where I'm going to be? Heh.

/Had ten pints of Guinness and a couple margaritas at Casey's on St. Paddy's, didn't want to leave the scenery.

2003-08-22 03:45:26 PM
i'm going to be on the other side of the atlantic by the time this rolls around...

but i'd be there otherwise.

/smells sausage, all the same

2003-08-22 04:25:33 PM
Play4n6 - lol - that's really how the east side thinks of us.

In the name of peace, how about an east valley party at Casey's, and a west valley at the George?

G&D is NOT in the west valley - it's still a 45 minute drive from my house. If we're going to split up between East Valley and West Valley, at least give us a bar IN the West Valley

2003-08-22 05:22:52 PM
There are bars in the west valley?
/east valley here

2003-08-22 06:00:58 PM
Well yeah, but you have to bring your own ice and junk. And you have to be sure you don't get the 'full' outhouse when you go to the 'bathroom'.

2003-08-23 11:36:39 AM
C'mon you sniveling east valley folx. G&D is the schitz and is by definition and location "CENTRAL" being on "CENTRAL" and Indian School. TEMPE ?? Gimme a break, won't spend a plug nickel in that Rump Ranger Run village, as for Mesa, just don't feel like getting hit up by the Mormons while attempting to tip a brew or 2.

After all, everything is already in the East Valley anyway, so why not one on the other side of the world (Yes there is a world out there west of 44th St). I mean you guys got the Coyotes... *oops Forgot they pulled out and went to Glendale. Well ya still got the Cardinals.. *oops forgot, they bailed out to Glendale also... Oh well, you still have your Tempe Town Puddle...

So go ahead, wear your kevlar, update your wills and come on down to central Phoenix ... Take a chance ... Live a little, hang with the hill billies and hee haw folx. You can park your cars around back and we'll "Jest Hitch our Horses in the Front".

2003-08-23 09:00:10 PM
G&D is definitely not west valley. It's even in pretty civilized territory for Phoenix proper. Well, my neighborhood is a bit more civilized but it doesn't have many really good watering holes other than The Monastery. G&D is really quite central, and even reasonably close to freeway access. Hell, there's even a hospital pretty close in case anybody has too good a time.

2003-08-23 10:41:09 PM
i'm hip to it... i don't mind schlepping a whole 15-20 minutes from Scottsdale to Central. In fact I might go there now... a bev sounds good.

2003-09-05 01:52:24 AM
I'm thinking I'll be there. I might even try a english beer.
