Chenzhou 198 Hospital, where Zheng had his surgery, has no qualifications for kidney transplantation, according to the report.

The hospital has denied any connection with the kidney removal operation, and has said that its urology department is contracted to a businessman in Fujian, the report concluded.

Back in the day Fujian was called Fukien. It got that name because all the businessmen there were a bunch of Fukien crooks.

I think it's funny how as speculation grew before the first iPad launch, people thought it would be priced out of reach at $800-$1000. When Apple unveiled the item at $499, it was a big surprise to many people.

Yet people like subtard still love to push the perception that anything Apple automatically is too expensive.

I don't drink, I take reasonable care of myself.

I would sell a kidney if it was legal.

It would have to be for more then $3,000, but still.

Put a $30-40,000 price tag on it and I can see it being an option for some people.

I thought a human kidney in good shape was $10k?

You know if you buy it, you'll want another one in 2 hours.

Well, actually, no. The black market, especially overseas, has driven down the selling price (because in certain countries selling organs is legal) but exponentially increased the buying price.

Expect roughly $3-4000 for selling a kidney, but expect anywhere from $35,000 to $85,000 to get a kidney.

Making a comment based on facts ≠ getting "all worked up" over it.
I get it, arm + leg = kidney. Ha Ha. If subby is guilty of anything it's going for the low hanging fruit.

Fruit... get it?... Apple is a fruit. See, I can do it too.

That doesn't sound too bad. I could see entrepreneurs re-purposing those Chinese execution / organ-harvesting trucks to run slowly down the street playing the first few bars of "Turkey in the Straw", with groups of Chinese adults running after them, begging to have some organs removed and sold. Bonus is the idiot who signs the contract to get his lungs removed for a kajillian yuan.

You're not allowed to write a sentence and realise there's a pun in there then pretend it's intentional.

austin_millbarge: //you're not clairvoyant

I am, that's how I know that pun wasn't intentional.

No, you're just a boring dweeb who somehow feels the need to defend Apple.
Whatever.

Not Apple's fault some people are morons. And their prices are obviously not "too high", since "too high" is defined by whether most people are willing to buy the product at that price. Considering how many iPhones, iPads, etc. they sell, it's pretty obvious the market thinks the price is ok.
