The new regime in Egypt changes the whole balance, Israel is going to be backpedaling from here on out.

rev. dave: Wendy's Chili: rev. dave: But my butt definitely hurts over this.

Are you f*cking retarded?

How does that translate to retarded? The "negotiations" have always been for surrender and always will be. Obama does not seem to get that point.

Um, surrender? Dude, the international community has deemed Israel's occupation as criminal. They are demanding a return to 1967 borders. Just like the past U.S. presidents have all said.

So, what you are saying, is that you don't like the fact Obama was blunt and honest with you whereas earlier Presidents and politicians beat around the fact but said essentially the same thing.

//Politicians - The angry mobs don't want you to tell the truth either™.

Jake Havechek: There is some logic in the fact that President Obama has fled the country

He's on an official state visit that was planned in advance and is also attending the G8 summit, you stupid coont.

Our local paper has a libertarian/conservative columnist that can't help himself but to open every column with some non-sequitur strawman, appeal to emotion, or some other, glaring logical fallacy. I see that it is not a habit confined to the minor leagues. "Fled the country" was a whopper, considering he MET WITH NETANYAHU before leaving.

That being said, HuffPo does this all the time, but Fox News purports to be "fair and balanced" and "not a poorly-GUI'd blog."

Yeah, how dare they invade Iraq, and kill over a million civilians without provocation. Yeah, ho...oops. I mean how dare they defend their homes. Remember 9/11...I mean, er....pot calls the kettle what now?

Americans are funny because they have incredibly tiny short term memories.

Canadians are funny because they think Americans give a shiat what they think of our foreign policy.

Nah. I'm not a real Canadian. I don't own a brown shirt and march to the Horst Wessel song like a real Stevie McSweatervest groupie. If Canadians were stupid enough to vote in this fascist shiat bag, I don't consider myself part of the crowd anymore. I might live here, but I'm not a asshole Canadian.

And what I said must mean something to you, or you wouldn't have commented. You know your country invaded Iraq. You know your country is responsible for the deaths over a millions civilians (most of them women and children). I don't have to live with that. You do.
I don't care what you think of Canada personally. I think Canada is a pile of shiat myself. I think Canadians are assholes for voting in Harper. There. Problem solved.

You still have a short term memory as far as Iraq is concerned though, and calling Israel terrorists for defending their homes. Yeah, about that. Get a mirror there bud.

What's wrong with not being 100% behind everything Israel says and does?

Oh, is it being afraid of not getting campaign money from elderly Jewish donors? Or is it the Christian fundamentalists that think that Israel is part of a biblical prophecy and God says they will eventually be victorious, so if the US opposes them they will be destroyed by Jesus when he returns?

Israel has a gigantic martyr complex because of what happened back in the '40's and is blind to how they are making martyrs out of everyone that gets in their way.

If you oppose them in any way, they try to label you as anti-semitic and opposed to a Jewish homeland, while they go about oppressing the Palestinians, who want a homeland of their own and had theirs taken away to create Israel.

Practically speaking, the best option for peace in the middle east is for Israel to fall back to the old borders, support the Palestinians for complete soveriegn statehood and UN membership, and accept a partitioning of Jerusalem and letting them have East Jerusalem.

Then again, the various dictatorships in the Middle East have used the vague threat of Israel to justify their own tyranny for decades, and the last thing they want is lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

I don't know I think we should support Israel in a bid to take over the whole area they seem to be able to keep a somewhat stable government unlike those around them. I can not really support any group who sends people out to blow themselves up promising them great honor in the after life.

It's fun reading stuff labeled "opinion" by Fox News, like the rest of their stuff is not. I mean, where do they draw the line?

Opinion Desk > "Obama is a rapist pedophile!"
"News" Desk> "Woah, now I hate Obama as much as most real Americans for being a Kenyan Muslim whole stole the election from a war hero to make America a communist nation, but can you back that up?"
Opinion Desk > "That's why it's labeled opinion. In my opinion, Obama is a rapist pedophile draft dodger."
"News" Desk> "He wasn't alive during the draft."
Rupert Murdoch> "This is making me so hot right now!"

When Richard Perle was working for Senator Scoop Jackson, he was investigated by the Justice Department and found to have violated US policies relating to unlawful transmission of sensitive classified US information to Israel.

In other words, Richard Perle is an Israeli spy, the architect of the Iraq War and is widely acknowledged to have profited from the war. Fox and the neocons profit from Republican fear.

A lot of people has pointed it out that Obama has not said anything that has not been said before.

However, it seems like there is still a difference. Up until now, everyone said the same thing, but had hard time keeping a straight face. Everyone know it means nothing and will be followed up with nothing.

Obama said it with a straight face and seemed serious about it. That's the big difference.

But if you are wondering if why there is a outrage among some, its because he is spending too much time at the tanning salons.

You know almost off of that "aid" is in the form of military equipment, same goes for Egypt and Columbia.

And the aid to Egypt and Israel is guaranteed in Memorandums of Understanding from the Camp David Peace Accord, the US can't just stop giving the aid since the Senate ratified the treaty.

Just because its military aid doesn't mean its free.
And what are they going to do... go to war with Egypt once we cut off the aid.

Its always been disgusting watching authoritarian asshat governments pimping out the Palestinian situation for their own domestic rhetoric while paying lip service to their plight. But then again, that sort of thing is pretty much standard for governments in general. But its especially grating to watch here.

How the fark is that, exactly? In his speech before AIPAC, Obama basically said, "Yeah, just take whatever you want, boys."

http://english.aljazeera.net/indepth/opinion/2011/05/2011523115553473983.html

In his latest speech addressed to AIPAC, Obama promised Israel everything short of allegiance by reaffirming America's commitment to Israel's political and security goals. His speech denied the right of Palestinians to declare a nation and he even vowed to block any peaceful Palestinian efforts to claim their legal rights at international organisations.

And he reiterated the "swaps" part of the original statement, which essentially makes illegal settlements "new facts on the ground", which would make Palestine a bunch of little bantustans.

I can only assume it's a tactic by Israel. Netanyahu is back home now saying, ....

he found "wide American support" during his visit to Washington, after arriving back in Israel on Wednesday.

"It was an important visit," Netanyahu said after landing at Ben-Gurion International Airport. "We found wide American support for Israel's basic demands," the prime minister said, "first and foremost, the recognition of the state of Israel as a nation for the Jewish people, the need for borders, security and the complete renunciation of Hamas."

http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/upon-return-from-washington-netan y ahu-says-israel-found-u-s-support-1.364057

Because the clapping prairie dogs in Congress represents YOU, America, in your fawning, standing ovations to Mr. Netanyahu.

Uh, "jews" have a great degree of political and social diversity. As I pointed out earlier, there has been a lot of internal criticism of the Netanyahu goverment over this issue from inside Israel, where the discourse about Israel is much more free and complex than in U.S. media.

The thing is it´s not even a slight kick. This is like a whacko girlfriend that says "I´m going to start eating healthier and working out" and then you respond with something like "how´s the weight loss" she flips a shiat for saying you thought she was fat in the first place even though it was already out in the open.

Oh and her spare tire also attacks her on occasion at which point she tries to stab herself in order to ensure the submission of her fat because she refuses to acknowledge it´s actually part of her.

This analogy got out of hand...I´ll stop now.
