As you too shall adore;
I could not love Israel so much,
Loved I not the U.S. more.

"Any Final Status Agreement Must Be Reached Between The Two Parties, And Changes To The 1949 Armistice Lines Must Be Mutually Agreed To." - President George W. Bush, 2005

"We must give up Arab neighborhoods in Jerusalem and return to the core of the territory that is the State of Israel prior to 1967, with minor corrections dictated by the reality created since then." - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, 2008

"the United States believes that through good-faith negotiations, the parties can mutually agree on an outcome which ends the conflict and reconciles the Palestinian goal of an independent and viable state, based on the 1967 lines, with agreed swaps" - Joint statement released by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, 2010

Meanwhile the center-left in Israel continues to blast (new window) Netanyahu for deliberately distorting Mr. Obama's positions, especially regarding the recent joint statement between Secretary Clinton and PM Netanyahu that agreed with the President and long-standing U.S. policy on borders.

Guess what Israel, the population of this country 45 and younger remembers all the crap you pulled over the last 25 years, and we don't care anymore. The problem with teaching generations of children about fairness is that when they grow up they apply it to their world view.

this. if your country is not taking billions of dollars in aid from the USA, then you get to have an independent foreign policy. Otherwise, you shut your biatch mouth and do as you are told.

I never hear about Colombia or Egypt (our other two largest aid recipients) mouthing-off and openly contradicting a US president like Israel does. I actually wish Obama was actually being hostile to Israel. Everytime they defy our request not to build settlements, we should knock off a $1 billion from their aid package and if they complain we take off more money out of it.

Knock $1B off and promptly give it to Hamas.

Exactly. They're finally pissy because they fully realize that there's a President that isn't taking their "WAAAAHHH NO! NO! NO!!" for an answer. Time to play nice with the international community sandbox, Israel.

It's not even Israel. It's Netanyahu, his stupid f*cking party, and their backers on Wall Street. A small group of assholes are creating big problems for their country, for our country, and for the world.

If the deficit is being brought under control by Obama in 2012 I might vote for him. Watching Israel squirm is always enjoyable.

US government and public support has been Israel's to lose for 60 years. Netenyahu is losing it.

There is some logic in the fact that President Obama has fled the country

He's on an official state visit that was planned in advance and is also attending the G8 summit, you stupid coont.

You know almost off of that "aid" is in the form of military equipment, same goes for Egypt and Columbia.

And the aid to Egypt and Israel is guaranteed in Memorandums of Understanding from the Camp David Peace Accord, the US can't just stop giving the aid since the Senate ratified the treaty.

How, exactly, has Obama treated Israel badly? By not cowtowing to the right wing of their political spectrum?

You prove my point. neocon jewish butthurt.

And I see Israel is still cashing our checks. Can't be hurting them that badly.

You know we might Israel a lot better if they weren't constantly transferring technology to China...

The Lavi/J-11, Phalcon, the drones.

Or you know the part where Israel farked with a NATO ally (Turkey) in international waters? Israel has been a bad, bad client state and now they're on time out.

Yeah, how dare they invade Iraq, and kill over a million civilians without provocation. Yeah, ho...oops. I mean how dare they defend their homes. Remember 9/11...I mean, er....pot calls the kettle what now?

Israel's gotta feel pretty good about themselves if Obama amounts to the most hostile. Maybe he's not flicking his tongue across the tip, but he's still gagging on that putz.

I sincerely hope that one day soon Israel realizes what true American hostility consists of. When the US gives them a real ultimatum for stopping the settlements and negotiating in good faith. Until that happens, Israel has absolutely no grounds to nitpick. At the very least it is just rude manners to insult the guy who has your back and is picking up the tab.

Did you miss the part that I am not a neocon or even conservative. I am a liberal.
Just look how giving up land in Gaza helped, it only emboldened Hamas. It proved that all giving up land will do is escalate the conflict.

In the history of Israel? It's whole, sixty-year history, you mean?

Of course, if you are talking about any world leader and the ENTIRE history of the region, I would have to say that Caeser was probably a tad, just a teensy bit more anti-Israel than, say, Obama for instance.
