Sales in my sports bar dropped slightly and have actually gone higher and stabilized. This is a good time for sports (Redskins - Cowboys game not withstanding) so there are too many variables to draw a good conclusion. We are also carrying various TV news feed on several sets.

My impression though, is that many were staying home glued to the TV and getting plowed.

I would think that the Cowboys Redskins game would have been a reason to drink more than usual.

There's a big conference of beer producers in the most beautiful
town in the world: Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

At the end of the day, all of the presidents of all beer
companies decide to have a drink in a bar. The president of
'Budweiser' orders a Bud, the president of 'Miller' orders a
Miller Lite, Adolph Coors orders a Coors, and the list goes on.

Then the waitress asks Arthur Guinness what he wants to drink,
and much to everybody's amazement, Mr. Guinness orders a Coke!
"Why don't you order a Guinness?" his colleagues ask.

"Naah. If you guys won't drink beer, then neither will I."

Cool... Let us know when your beer consumption per capita matches Canada. Then there will be a front page story...

I would like to take the moment to thank all beer producers for my birth..... thank you. Without your help I wouldn't have been able to see this day.

Seems about right. The night of September 11th I went down to Queens and drank about 500 Bass Ales. Usually don't do that on a Tuesday night.

Heroin and pot sales have also been up, but those aren't as easy to track.

I happened to be on vacation that Sept. week, and that gave me all the more reason to get hammered..speaking of pot sales,is it going to be a dry winter or what?..now back to the Fark keg party...
