Not seeing it.

And I still chuckle that the Registrar's name is "U.K.L. Lee". Ukelele? Hawaii?

Since most birthers can't write as good as my 5 YO son(step, but much loved), I would think they would be used to seeing odd letters.

Part of me wants to try and explain to them how the OCR tool they're using works. Or how pareidolia works with seeing that face in the signature. Or any of the other completely crazy things they have wrong, but then I realize that these are simple concepts. Concepts that have been explained to them, at length, by hundreds of other people. So it can only mean that they are far too simple minded to understand very basic concepts or that they are mentally incapable of accepting simple concepts when it fights against a world view and story narrative to which they have committed. As much as I would love to just write it off as the former and call them stupid, I believe it's the latter. Birthers, along with pretty much any conspiracy theory supporter, have a mental issue that clouds their ability to reason and logically examine evidence and ideas placed before them. They should really be offered psychological assistance, but I'm afraid that all I have is scorn and mockery.

Donald served his purpose and is no longer needed. He was sent out to make lots of noise right before the forgery was to hit the public. He did as he was directed and will be rewarded properly. Barry is flipping Americans the bird finger with his latest forgery, and frankly, there is no a thing we can do about it since he has Eric the scum Holder in his right hand and the subPreme court in his left, with an drooling servile media of scum at his beckon call. The affirmative action resident in the White Hut is above the law and the Constitution is now only to be followed when it suits the federal oligarchs to do so. LAw is for we the people. The rulers need not honor it anymore, as barry bassturd is proving daily.

You know, here I was worried that the Birthers would go away. I figured a few of them, actually most of them, would insist that the BC was a fake, but the media would now ignore them. This kind of hilarity is out of right field.

To be extremely charitable, they have rather a loose grasp on reality. I have the feeling that they will continue this even after President Obama is out of office, as if that will negate every bill he's ever signed.

I'm sorry, conspiracy heads. You could be learning a foreign language or how to play the guitar, but instead you are wasting your time with this.

/at the very least, make your conspiracies titillating. "BHO had maid orgies with DSK!" or something.

I was just over in freeper land and the comments over there are just insane. This comment really made my head hurt.

The posted copy of the birth certificate is a ruse and wasted effort. You cannot with certainty authenticate a document from a photo or an scanned image. You need to authenticate the original document. To the best of my knowledge this has never been done and will likely never happen.

I ask the people that believe the birth certificate is real to answer the following question. If you had a chance to be a valuable historical document based on the way Obama's BC was presented, would you spend your hard earned money as is just from looking at the photo or would you take the original document to have it authenticated by an expert?

Like the State of Hawaii right?

Birthers are the greatest. I can't understand WTF this guy is talking about because it is totally illogical and I am not insane, but I really hope it catches on. Right wingers having to pander to Birthers 2.0 like they had to pander to Birthers 1.0 would be invaluable to Dems in 2012.

bubbaprog: THIS IS WHAT REPUBLICANS ACTUALLY BELIEVE

No, this is what deranged idiots believe. These people aren't any different than people who hated GW Bush so much they thought he was in on 9/11 or purposely botched the Katrina response so his friends could "whiten" N.O. These people do not listen to reason.

They are using optical character recognition software to produce different numbers and letters than those on the birth certificate? And we are supposed to take this seriously? These are the errors of the software, not some secret code. I tried to scan a document and then run OCR on it and it was too much trouble, too many errors to correct, would have been quicker to retype it. This is farking stupid.

Seriously. You can even see that the 4 wasn't completely filled in, so it got misidentified as a 1, but that kind of simple, rational observation is way beyond these folks' abilities.

Step 1:

Fold the bill so that the "ON" of "ONE" is covered:
www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net

Step 2:

Fold again like so, covering "HU" of "HUNDRED:"
www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net

Step 3:

Another fold covering part of "DOLLARS:"

Step 4:

Finally make one last fold, and with a magic marker, add the following letters to reveal a hidden message!

I just examined my own birth certificate. Curiously, Brooklyn, New York is misspelled to read, "Zomtar, Rigel Nine" and there is clealry a figure of Ziggy cleverly etched upon the signature of one of my late mother's hand maidens. There goes my 2016 bid, sorry folks.

Just when I think WND can't get any more retarded, they prove me wrong.

At this pace, I can't imagine that it will be written in comprehensible English much longer. Very soon, their articles will just be pictures of Barack Obama with random lines and squggles drawn over them in MS Paint, and random keystrokes.

It will actually be of more journalistic merit then.

So they're going to go all DaVinci Code on this birth certificate and reveal the vast conspiracy that must exist for a black man to become president of the United States of America?

Bill Frist: Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: Democrats, what went wrong?

Um... Cynthia Mckinny is a Green party politician. She was too wacky for the Democratic party.

Here's the thing, too: when Cynthia McKinney just got too damn insane to put up with for her seat, the Democrats withdrew their support, she lost an election, and got kicked out of the party.

On the other hand, crazies like Michelle Bachmann continue to dominate the Republican Party, and the leading lights of the party keep deferring to nutbars like Beck and Limbaugh.

Why do you think they released it with layers? So conspiracy theories would pop immediately. Skeptics would examine it so closely they would see shiat like this. It could be proven fake and nobody would listen.

Although I guess you really prove the point by having to search for a completely marginal not-even-a-democrat figure to compare to Glenn Beck, one of the most popular right wingers in the country.

Sure, maybe Glenn Beck is a clown on TV and shoudlnt' count. But really, are George W. Bush, John Boehner, Newt Gingrich, Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, or a dozen other MAJOR Republican figures could be inserted into that graphic and would be just as embarrassing and make the point just as well.
