Jose Guerena, 26, died

Fighting the goddamned war on drugs.

This is about the sickest shiat I ever heard in my entire life.

I don't care if he had a kilo of heroin, he damned well didn't deserve this.

I blame Congress.

2011-05-20 09:55:01 PM
We can learn two things here:

1. Narcotics should be legalized.

2. Always shoot first.

If they'd given the poor man half a second to get his shiat together, he might have killed one of them. They clearly won the firefight.

However, they shouldn't be sneaking through houses in the middle of the night. Cops should not behave like that over some drugs. That's for high treason, rape, and murder. Drug charges can wait for noon. And if that means we don't catch any drug dealers then I say GOOD.

2011-05-20 09:55:10 PM
And the Pima County sheriff scolded the media for "questioning the legality" of the shooting.

Well there you go, my fellow citizens.

You are nothing more than cannon fodder in this war.

Goddamn farking pigs. Goddamn farking cops, actually - let's not malign our porcine friends by placing on the same level as cops.

Remember, cops - we only call you as a last resort because we see you on the job. We know you. We would really rather not have to deal with you at all, but you're the ones who have the guns and the power to kill people who are trying to kill us. We really have to be desperate to call on you, because we know you're as likely to kill us as you are to kill the criminals we ask you to deal with. It's pretty-much a given that there's a real possibility there, you goddamn f*cktards.

Benevolent Misanthrope

Remember, cops - we only call you as a last resort

I'm pretty sure no one called them for this. This, they did all by themselves.

All by themselves.

These cock-sucking cops need to be in prison, Sheriff Dupnik needs to GTFO of office and this story needs to be greenlit (or has it been?)

2011-05-20 10:55:38 PM
Wow. These guys made a mistake and killed the wrong guy. You know if there were drugs, the first press conference would have been the Chief standing next to a table with all the drugs on it.

I also especially like how they are using all his legal possessions in home as the justification for murdering him. He had guns, a photo, blah blah blah. F*ck you you c*nt pigs. Those things are all legal. Possessing them are not a reason to murder someone.

I hope these cops are murdered in the streets. All of them. F*ck them.

2011-05-20 11:46:07 PM
Did they even TRY knocking on the door one bright sunny day and just serving a search warrant? Did they really have to sneak attack a veteran (who could easily have PTSD) in his own home where his small child resides? WTF. Even looking beyond the EXCESSIVE use of force, why the hell do they have such a drama queen farking SOP?

/srsly cops. This is why you get your rep.

2011-05-20 11:46:41 PM
I hope the world does end tomorrow for these criminals. America's largest street gang indeed.

Why did the Marine have a sandbar in his house?

2011-05-21 12:28:44 AM
Guerena grabbed his assault rifle and was pointing it at the SWAT team, which was trying to serve a narcotics search warrant as part of a multi-house drug crackdown,

MULTI-house search? Well that explains why you didn't find any drugs in that particular house; they were in a different one. Were you just searching every house on the same godam BLOCK? Holy mother of Christ.

Why stop there? Why not break into every house in the city? Or the state? Or we can pass one giant search warrant to search everything in the entire United States of America and dispense with the 4th amendment entirely.

"A report by ABC News affiliate KGUN found that more than an hour had passed before the SWAT team let the paramedics work on Guerena. By then he was dead."

I would welcome a Federal civil rights law that stated that law enforcement cannot do a no-knock entry unless they have a judge sign off on it, every time, and they take out an insurance policy every time that will pay for damage to house and people if they do their job inappropriately. Another aspect of my law will mandate that, should a police officer fire his weapon in a situation where it is later proved unnecessary, he will be charged with the same crime that a civilian would have been charged with (aggravated assault, assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, or murder, depending on statute and outcome), sentenced under the same guidelines as anyone else, and placed in the general prison population. Oh, and helmet cams will be mandatory, with any convenient "breakage" of the system during suspicious actions used as evidence against the police.

If you're really, really needing to go in at gunpoint ready to cap people, you'd better be sure they're the right folk, and that they're worthy of a gunpoint invasion.

2011-05-21 01:13:18 AM
The thing with no-knock warrants is: I have guns in my house, lots of them, so do many people. If an assault team comes barging into my place, I'm going for a gun, I don't know WTF is going on. And then I get murdered for their errors and bad judgment. And it all gets swept under the rug, just like these asshole are attempting to do.

You know how I know you didn't read the article?

But it was only a matter of time before someone defended these murdering pigs. Stupid c*nts. I hope they get killed by the next guy that pulls them over.

In a statement, the sheriff's office criticized the media, saying that while questions will inevitably be raised, "It is unacceptable and irresponsible to couch those questions with implications of secrecy and a coverup, not to mention questioning the legality of actions that could not have been taken without the approval of an impartial judge."

This sheriff sounds like a dick trained in advanced dickery by legendary dick Sheriff Joe Arpaio himself.

Where did I defend anyone? I just stated the simple fact that the raid was done during the daytime, not while "sneaking through houses in the middle of the night" as stated by doglover.

I'm as opposed to the war on drugs as anyone else here, but the simple fact is that selling drugs is still illegal and the cops will still enforce the law because that's their job. If you have an argument about the legality of drugs, blame the politicians, not the cops.

Guerena grabbed his assault rifle and was pointing it at the SWAT team, which was trying to serve a narcotics search warrant as part of a multi-house drug crackdown, when the team broke down the door. At first the Pima County Sheriff's Office said that Guerena fired first, but on Wednesday officials backtracked and said he had not. "The safety was on and he could not fire," according to the sheriff's statement.

This story has everything I hate about the media and law enforcement. The cops lie about being fired upon, and are likely lying about the victim pointing the weapon at them. If he had been waiting at the ready with the safety off when they barged in there would be a lot of dead pigs. And an assault rifle is a select-fire weapon, capable of automatic fire. It is highly, highly unlikely that the victim had such a weapon. And now they're slandering the guy.

Mike Storie, a lawyer for the SWAT team, said at a press conference Thursday that weapons and body armor were found in the home as well as a photo of Jesus Malverde, who Storie called a "patron saint drug runner," according to KGUN.

Storie defended the long delay in allowing paramedics to enter the home, saying of the SWAT team, "They still don't know how many shooters are inside, how many guns are inside and they still have to assume that they will be ambushed if they walk in this house."

Utter bullshiat. This was an extrajudicial murder. I hope the next house that our roided-up paramilitary gangs break into has a Marine with his plate-carrier and rifle ready to rock and roll.

This is true,

However, it's on the cops, not the meds, we are trained not to enter a scene till we are told it is safe.

Even then, to keep our eyes open. One "safe scene" in town, the crew gets back to the bus, and all 6 tires are slashed.

I know many good cops...

First, I stand corrected, it wasn't an hour, it was 75 minutes.

According to the articles I've seen, you guys were there in like, 2 minutes, but the cops had to "circle the wagons", and get their stories straight before letting anyone in, claiming the house was not considered safe yet.
How big was that house that it took an hour make sure there were no other "bad guys" laying in wait?

The cops at that point were probably looking for something, anything that would justify their actions.
Frankly, I'm surprised that they didn't plant something.

I just can't get over the fact that not a single one of those seemingly conscience free animals, didn't at least drag him out of the house so that he could get some medical attention.
I doubt that anyone with that many bullet wounds is going to be much of a threat.
====
Here's another little gem:

"Even the current official story is self-contradictory. Deputies opened fire on the man because one of their own had been shot. They thought he had been shot because a bullet hit a doorframe and some of the wood came loose and hit the man's shield. But they fired that bullet, not Guerena. The bullet hitting the frame cannot be the cause of them opening fire, since it was the result."

Yeah, this was not like the North Hollywood bank robbery/firefight, where they did think there might be a third gunman, and it took them a while to secure the scene, and one of the perps bled out from a leg wound.
