Bullsh*t. My dog went through and chomped through 1/2 the produce in a shopping bag last month with little more than having an oversized poop that night. She also ate 3/4 of one of those oversized dark chocolate bars from Whole Foods resulting in what my vet called "a mild belly ache. Now GTFO of my office."

25 lbs of pure waste disposal that dog. Stomach like iron.

CSB time.

A friend of mine has an akita/chow mix and a wolf-malamute mix. I have a pit/hound mix and a chihuahua/terrier mix.

One time, we were in my friend's back yard. My chihuahua was sniffing along the neighbor's fence. The neighbor's dogs, something in the 40 lb range, started snarling at my chihuahua through the fence and kind of snapped at her.

The chow mix and malamute mix look up, see what's going on and haul ass over there acting like they were going to kill the neighbor's dogs. The neighbor's dogs freak out and immediately go into submission mode.

My chihuahua walks right up to one of the submitting neighbor dogs and pees right on them, and then walks away.

It was awesome.

44. A dog most likely interprets a smiling person as baring their teeth, which is an act of aggression.

I'm pretty sure this is wrong. When dogs pull their lips back it is a sign of submission and fear, not aggression. However, dogs are better at reading human body language than humans. Most dogs raised around humans know that smiling means that the human is in a good mood.

What breed(s)? We have schipperkes, known for being two things: vigilant and scavenging. We spoke to our Vet at length about this and the amount of chocolate needed to actually put a dog in the hospital or worse is really significant. IIRC it was 2oz/lb of dog weight. That seems like a lot of anything. Fortunately we haven't put that one to the test, but I've induced more than my fair share of vomiting in my day.

CSS time. In high school we did A Midsummer Night's Dream and in the Pyramus and Thisbe play our moon actually did bring a dog on stage. Every night, this dog had excellent comedic timing, doing whatever he wanted because, hey, he was just some dog belonging to one of the kids. One night after "Moon" had introduced their dog, that dog decided it was the perfect time to lick his balls. The next night during Moon's speech the dog just laid down on stage and gave the most exaggerated yawn that a dog could possibly do. During the last performance just as Moon lifted the light for Pyramus and Thisbe to meet by, the dog actually knocked the light over taking away the fake "spot" from the players.

Dog was a comedic genius, I tell ya.

KatjaMouse: Berkez: I've got 99 Fun Facts, but a biatch ain't one.

2 and a half minutes dude. Not even a simulpost.

probesport: 99 facts and a biatch is one.

But it's not. It's not mentioned in the article what a female dog is called. That's why it works as is.

treecologist: Fact #100: my dog is better than yours.

I do believe, sir or madame, that you are in fact mistaken, for, as all learned individuals know, it is my dog that is the non plus ultra of the canine world. Surely this was an honest mistake and I therefore take no umbrage, but I would hope that you endeavor to correct your obviously discredited opinion and as penance recognize my dog as your dog's obvious superior.

Yep. Definitely a fun breed, though:

My husband's friend dropped off his rat terrier to us and never came back to get him. He's been with us 6 months now. At first he snapped a little and one time he actually bit me, but after a lot of patience and love he's a little cuddle boy now.
Sweetest dog ever. Poor thing finally has a good home.

90. The best dog to reportedly attract a date is the Golden Retriever. The worst is the Pit Bull.d

Bull. It's obvious that the writer of this list has never put much effort into pursuing women. Probably is a Golden Retriever owner, because those dogs are real good dogs who make their owners think that's the only dog in the world that's good for anything.

But the best dog for attracting women is, by far and away, the West Highland Terrier. The Westie should be renamed chick magnet it works so well. It literally oozes cuteness, has a naturally friendly disposition and at 15 pounds is way smaller and non threatening than the Golden Retriever.

All true. My boyfriend's dad represents their clan at the Highland Games and Festivals throughout the region and for one reason or another frequently finds his booth next to or directly across from the West Highland Terrier rescue group. Everytime he comes back he always has to mention having to watch all the cute young girls and women flock to that booth all day long.
