2001-10-23 02:05:52 PM
BigKahuna: I still blame Syracuse for the downfall of the human race.

Kenh- And no small feat it was.

Oh and a degree from RIT? That and $1.50 will get you a beer at most any bar in town.

2001-10-23 02:16:13 PM
come on now, unless on of them come backs positive (not that I'd want it to, lord knows enough people came in contact with that shiat already) I'd say it was a setup to try to take some of the heat off of them

2001-10-23 02:16:16 PM
No kidding.

2001-10-23 02:30:22 PM
AHH ROCHESTER!

The Dirtiest City on the Mighty Genesee!

I've got a degree from RIT and Genny Light is $1.50 a case!

Considering that there are idiots all over this country doing the 'white powder in an envelope' prank, why jump to the conclusion that it's a setup?

Probably just another idiot, with his idea of a political target for his stupid practical joke.

2001-10-23 02:34:11 PM
fukk iraq

2001-10-23 02:45:15 PM
Trying to throw us off the scent....

2001-10-23 02:45:51 PM
yeah... fukk iraq, but still you never attack diplomats in your own country.. poor taste.

=R=

2001-10-23 02:50:32 PM
That powder is probably just dandruff and lice
eggs the iraqis combed out of their mustaches.

Heh - my halloween costume for this Sat. night party is full camo outfit and do-rag, face paint, and Saddam's head hanging from my belt.

Wondering if I could duplicate skin anthrax leasions all over his face....

I think the US was behind 9/11 and the anthrax attacks to ...mumble...mumble...mumble...jews.

2001-10-23 02:57:21 PM
SMOKESCREEN

according to the article, the guy who opened it was already wearing a mask and gloves. Ya think they were expecting the letter? Maybe?

FINALLY! A correct usage of the ironic tag!

Kenh & Familybmx: Good to see the Roc checking in. I spent 7 years in that place (RIT nothing, I've got not one, but TWO degrees from the UofR), and am glad to be back in Jersey. :P

Head on down to the Old Toad, sit in the front room, and enjoy the crappy oak tables that Duncan had me build.

on a side note, I tried to post an article from USA Today that reports THREE different crop-dusting 'incidents'.

I find it interesting that NO ONE has found the pilots or planes that were doing the crop-dusting, and one of them was over a US military training camp.

Initial tests are negative for bio-weapons, so I'm thinking that these are dry runs to see if they can get in and out without detection, and so far, they have done it THREE times.

scary, but not worthy of being posted I guess.

This is the story from USA Today.

2001-10-23 03:32:15 PM
I mean TWO different crop-dusting incidents, TWO in the last THREE days.

2001-10-23 03:38:51 PM
Slippy

It's all about drinking Mickeys at the Bug Jar...
Unfortunately, I was born in crotchfester but I got smart and moved away.

2001-10-23 03:40:50 PM
I saw the article about a cropduster spraying some people on a boat.
hmmm
That's not suspicious in the least, let's ignore it.

2001-10-23 03:43:25 PM
Blech, to hell with the Bug Jar - too weird in there for me. Though drinking Mickeys is (in an odd sort of "wow, that's rough" sort of way :) admirable.

Spent wayyyyy too much of my own time at what used to be the Crow Bar on Alexander. Way too much time, way too much money, and most of my functional brain cells, that is.

2001-10-23 03:46:06 PM
Oh damn not the crow bar...hehe
Did that turn into the blue room?

If you had 2 bucks at the Bug Jar your choices were either Honey Brown or Mickeys, a tough decision to say the least

2001-10-23 03:59:00 PM
Sure did. Spent every Monday night for about a year and a half in that place (depression and unemployment work WONDERS for a drinking habit). I wound up doing carpentry for them, too - seems that for a little while, I was the resident handyman on Alexander St. :P Weird. But hey, it got me lots and lots of free beer!

2001-10-23 04:00:27 PM
Excellent

It looks like I have to actually work for a little while, damn

2001-10-23 04:05:12 PM
Another way that they could spread Antrax (the kind that you touch) is with money. Just spread some on there and
off you go.

2001-10-23 04:06:05 PM
And don't drink city water.

2001-10-23 04:28:12 PM
I sure hope that my monthly bank statement doesn't start showing up full of anthrax. That would suck ass. And not in the good sort of ass-sucking way.

-he who stacks pork

2001-10-23 04:55:14 PM
Stifford....thats funny!

2001-10-23 04:58:24 PM
Col.Panic- um, just about anyone that has to open mail these days is wearing gloves to do it (esp in NY and DC).
How does that prove anything?

2001-10-23 05:03:08 PM
because iraq is not new york

2001-10-23 05:04:33 PM
that is, why would an enemy of America be worried about attacks on America suddenly targeting them?

2001-10-23 05:36:41 PM
ColPanic: From the top of the page on CNN-
"Iraq's diplomatic missions in New York and Washington received letters last week containing a suspicious powder, Iraq's U.N. ambassador said Monday night."

Sorry, assumed you had read the article. Silly me.

2001-10-23 05:39:35 PM
I'm working on my RIT degree!
too young for beer though...ehh..wine is more of my thing anyway

2001-10-23 05:53:11 PM
FuzzyMonkey - that's a good way to handle a non-article-reading idiot.

I'll have to remember that for use later, since only like 3% of us actually read the articles and expect the headline to somewhat reflect the contents of it.

2001-10-23 05:58:21 PM
Chillie - Thanks-- but ugh don't get me started about the headlines!

2001-10-23 06:10:03 PM
ugh is right

2001-10-23 06:10:56 PM
Whadafuk?

2001-10-23 07:45:34 PM
My bad.

2001-10-23 07:47:16 PM
to my credit, I did get the part about them wearing gloves, so it's not like I just comment on the headlines.

2001-10-23 11:17:21 PM
I was going to comment about how they will probably say the US government isn't doing a good enough job protecting them but then I saw this:

10-23-01 02:05:21 PM Stifford
were the letters Return to Sender?

I decided why bother Stifford nailed the COTT (Comment Of The Thread)
