Sounds like he's punished himself more severely than any judge could.

Ending a series of unsolved crimes, a break neck spree, you might say.

"Authorities said the suspect jumped from the deck but landed on his head."

You're not supposed to swan dive off a deck. A dock, maybe.

That's an interesting twist.

Bathia_Mapes: Sounds like he's punished himself more severely than any judge could.

Yeah, he'll probably still get jail time, as though he's likely to be a repeat offender. Clearly in need of rehabilitation.

No doubt he can't afford an attorney. Maybe a paralegal can help him.

I don't really understand why the word "try" almost always implies that the said attempt was unsuccessful...

The real question is, how much is he suing the home owners for?

Because if the attempt was successful it would be "did" rather than "tried."

Really, though, will they still try to prosecute? Probably the homeowner would have to pursue charges no matter how they feel regarding justice being served just so it's on record to protect themselves. Wow.

This guy must be NECK deep in medical bills.

Oh, he will be able to afford the "no money unless we collect for you" personal injury attorneys who will sue the homeowner for injuring the poor dear.

Here's some bigger fail from where I live. Less injury, more derp.

Good. I'm glad to hear about this.

Our house was burglarized on Mothers' Day in the middle of the day, and after thinking of the violation that my girlfriend feels and the world's surplus population, I don't think life is sacred. There are PLENTY of people that can go burn a slow death with time to consider why it's happening to them. fark that thieving asshole.

/I love the good, kind people.
//Tired, sick, and weary of assholes like this.

What really sucks is that this happened in Richmond County, and not in McDuffie, so I won't get to be on the jury for the civil trial, if there is one. Otherwise, this fool would be licking stamps for the rest of his life to reimburse the homeowner for legal fees, new sod, and damages for mental anguish for being unjustly taken to court.

I do feel sorry for this guy!

Does he deserve to be paralyzed for the rest of his life just because he committed a burglary?

NO!!!

He deserves to be paralyzed for the rest of his life because he was stupid enough to dive off a balcony while committing a burglary.
