WaffleStomper: There's no fear like liberal fear of a smart, attractive conservative woman.

The only things I will agree with that you said is that yes, I am a liberal, and that yes, Palin is a woman. Whether she's smart, attractive, or conservative has yet to be seen. She's a lantern jawed harpy in my opinion.

/I wouldn't go bi for her, basically

OK. Show me her excellence in any field that proves that she's well above average intelligence - or even average. I've yet to see anything except that she's an idiot.

Mark R. Whittington is a writer and computer analyst residing in Houston, Texas. He is the author of numerous works of fiction and nonfiction, including the novel of suspense Nocturne which he coauthored with his wife, Chantal, Children of Apollo, and The Last Moonwalker and Other Stories. He has recently discovered that white-knighting for Sarah Palin will not get him laid.

This biography was provided by some dumb fat prick with a neck beard to cover up his multiple chins.

mahuika: This looks easy!

"It's so clear that the media wishes to present Lindsey Lohan as an overprivileged adult-child who has trouble with the law, but anyone paying attention will really see the opposite is true. Why people want to paint her with this broad brush is beyond me; I know it's part of a smear campaign. Why else would people talk about her so much? There's really nothing to say, so they manufacture outrage.

The only thing I can think of is that, perhaps, they are afraid that she'll get cast as Frodo in the 2012 Hobbit movie. It's obvious. There's literally no other reason to focus so much on Lohan's life. To which I say, why are they so scared? In fact, if Lohan auditioned for the role and persued it publically, I think everyone would realize what a law-abiding, talented citizen she is, and she could easily replace Martin Freeman in the role."

Ironic, considering, as of 6:07 GMT, May 11, 2011, lindsay lohan dead at 24 (new window)

You're obviously unschooled in Alaska politics.

In Anchorage, a famous, popular, successful nightclub, Mr. Whitekeys' Fly-By-Night Club, supported itself year-round by making fun of stupid politicians -- to music. In addition, a weekly column for decades, The Alaska Ear, has survived in the same manner.

Alaskans elect idiots. It's what they do.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Yeah, but the democrats don't have the option to go on an epic quest to find the one person in the world less fit than the alternative to sit in the Oval Office like they did in 2004, they're pretty much stuck with the acceptably centrist, competent guy that's already in there.

Forget watching her debate Obama, we know it would all be nonsensical talking points. I want to see her in a Republican debate. With Bachmann, Ron Paul, Gingrich, Trump, Santorum. Imagine them all trying to out-derp one another.

Why is it taking so long for the primaries to really start?!

Even though I just posted that cleavage pic of (maybe) Sarah Palin, AND I'M A GUY, I have to say stop with the blowjob jokes... I want to see a woman in the White House someday. I don't want Sarah Palin in the White House, but not because she's a woman. On that same token, don't immediately put down a woman as a sex object either.

FTA:
That does not explain how she was able to single-handedly move John McCain's poll numbers past those of Barack Obama for two weeks until the economic collapse of 2008 moved them back.

I figure it's like alcohol consumption. When you're horribly wasted and looking to score, suddenly there's a hot chick you didn't notice being at the party earlier. So, you do the deed, wake up the next morning and realize you slept with a bulbous walrus.

I believe what this guy is saying is that it's possible you might get really wasted again and once again make sweet sweet walrus love. I'm guessing though, you'd have to drink more alcohol each consecutive time to keep from hurling all over the political spectrum.

"Joshua Green is pretty sure that Palin is a loser because she steers too far to the right."

or maybe people have figured out she has no friggin clue what she is talking about and just works from published talking points that she is not even able to support face-to-face. I really want to think that our president is towards the smarter end of the spectrum of intelligence. She is middle of the road (at best)

"If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media."

--Sarah Palin, getting First Amendment rights backwards while suggesting that criticism of her is unconstitutional, radio interview with WMAL-AM, Oct. 31, 2008

2011-05-11 08:55:10 AM
Palin is not electable as the President. It's simple and true, she'll poll strong at first, but, as the true politicians step forward, she'll be left looking like a hot secretary that has no idea what she's doing: Hot, but dumb, and kept around because she's easy on the eyes. This is the only reason for her success thus far. You are crazy if you think she'd still be around if she looked like a hag, so let's all just stop kidding ourselves now.

The honest truth is she's not even a real politician, she's a talking point, she wouldn't last a month in the Senate. She already proven to quit when the going gets tough, and the fact she's one of the Rapture people, that's just too scary a proposition to have in power. Let her have her fun, do her shows (which is the perfect analogy to her political aspirations: Strong results out of the chute, but, the fanbase wanes fast), and set her kids up with cushy jobs and cash. As long as we don't take her seriously (as anyone with a sane mind wouldn't), and patronize her (isn't it cute that Sarah is acting like she has original ideas again), she'll eventually burn herself out. Mark my words, she'll blame everyone else for her failure (media asking her straight forward questions, etc).

And for everyone on the Right who says I am underestimating Palin, I will simply say you're delusional if you think she truly wants to hold Public Office, she only wants attention, there's easier money in attention than in politics. In politics, people would expect her to do something and fulfill commitments.

Interesting tidbit from one of this very 'conservative' (winkwink) author's movie reviews:

"In "Thor," the Kenneth Branagh film based on the Marvel Comics stories about the Norse God of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth is properly tall, rugged, blond, and handsome in the title role. Natalie Portman is kind of cute as a spunky climate scientist."

technicolor-misfit: Well, if Mark Whittington,

author of such classics as

The Last Moonwalker and Other Stories (new window)

says so...

it MUST be true.

The titles and descriptions are the best:

The Last Moonwalker - In the near future, as human explorers prepare to take the first voyage to the Moon in decades, Charles Gerald, the last Apollo Moonwalker, lends his advice to the crew of the expedition as he wrestles with his own legacy.

The First Woman on the Moon - Set in the same universe as Children of Apollo, Wendy Pendleton, who will fly on the mission of Apollo 23, remembers the cost of becoming the first woman on the Moon.

Two Old Men - Two retired politicians, in the same universe as Children of Apollo, face a deadly disease a treatment for which was developed in space.

Dark Sanction - As World War II rages, Gabriella, Venetian aristocrat, spy for British Intelligence, vampire is menaced by a Nazi vampire hunter with occult powers.

Hurtgen Moon - An American rifle squad battles a werewolf during one of World War II's bloodiest battles.

Witnessing Apollo - The flight of Apollo 11 helps an alien visitor decide the fate of the Earth,

Hurtgen Moon. Seriously. WTF? These are the male version of Paranormal Teen Romance.

Freep Impact: The "explanation" from the right is way off, too. SP is rarely on anywhere where her VIEW are being explored or disemminated, including on FOX. She is UNDER exposed. If her and her views were closely debated and exposed she would already be the strong front-runner.

FOX shows a sound bite of Sarah's now and again, and they claim to like her, but none of the networks give her much of a platform. Lots of people would vote for her if she could get her message out to the casual voter/follower of politics.
***

I'm kinda dumb, but I have a feeling that anyone who got thirty minutes of air time would attract some followers just because there are so many of us on this planet. Even horrible TV programs get lots of viewers before they get cancelled.
