"FBI spokesman in Newark said federal authorities weren't notified of the Trenton scare."

Ya you wouldn't want the FBI to know of a similiar case only 30 minutes away. They might start coordinating thier efforts or something.

2003-08-14 02:16:16 PM
oh, those silly terrorists

2003-08-14 02:16:26 PM
For the record, Trenton is aboot an hour from Newark. But, still, very true.

Bogus anthrax threats are sooooooo 2002.

2003-08-14 02:20:53 PM
Hey baby, do you know what happened to my stash of anthrax?

2003-08-14 02:21:22 PM
In a related story, a suspected cream-substitute powder scare at an al qaeda camp near Tora Bora turned out to be anthrax.

See, Arnold is not going to put up with this type of shet. So California terrorists beware!

paranoia and delusions.

"i warned you not to stop taking your medication. now we know what happens when we stop taking our medication now, don't we?"

as a precaution, perhaps all foodstuffs and other products which could be confused with anthrax and other weapons of mass destruction should be withdrawn from the market and be made available only by prescription and only dispensed through national homeland security package stores and only with three valid forms of id, fingerprints, urinalysis and a full body cavity search.

is it safe yet?

Picture: hushed crowd gathered around barley breathing, hazmat guy comes in. Takes of mask, rolls up a dollar bill & cleans up the "anthrax".

OMG I SWEAR...all I can say is GET SOME NEW IDEAS YOU DAMN WANNABE TERRORISTS!!!

They call it "dairy creamer" in the story, but don't they mean "non-dairy creamer"? Is there such a thing as dairy-based coffee creamer in powder form?

I have to admit, if someone tried to put
Cremora in my coffee, I'd probably evacuate the building too...

jaydp88 why bother, this gag still gets the laughs, can't beat the classics.

They took away our powdered creamer when the real big scare was going on, and they haven't returned it. It's OK with me - I don't think anybody really knows what that stuff is made of.

There was an Anthrax scare in Madison, WI on Tuesday. People were scared that others still pay to see them live.

Old and busted: Mistaking coffee creamer for anthrax.

New hotness: Mistaking a paper towel roll for a SAM launcher.

Get with the times, people!

MFinn, yeah I suppose you're right...

/settling down now

It is pretty damn funny to the person who did it but the only thing that sucks is the FBI investigation shiat that comes with that...it wouldn't be worth it for me...I try to stay out of the police limelight for various reasons....

You would think these fakers would use something accurate. The anthrax powder would be light tan or brown, not white.
Try some cinnamon or maybe a really ground-up, brown sock.

It's funny (scary?) how you never hear that mentioned in articles.

Hazardous materials teams quickly investigated and determined there was no cause for alarm.

Someone in the kitchen at work keeps using HALF a packet of equal sweetener, folding the packet edge up a little, and sticking it back in the bin with the rest of them.
Like anyone is interested in someone else's half packet of sweetener, anthrax scare or no. Geez.

2003-08-14 02:43:49 PM bolhuijo

Right on man, I've got someone at my office doing that too...damn thrifty sweetener users....

Every time I see that I just throw it in the trash. I'm determined to get to the bottom of it. I mean shiat, it costs what, 3 cents per little packet....MAYBE???!!!

2003-08-14 02:51:41 PM
Anthrax? What is this, 2001?

2003-08-14 02:56:50 PM
So why don't 'they' make things that are powdery with different colors other than just plain white...?

OH YEAH...*slaps head, has V8*...that's right...the TERRORISTS'll change the color of the anthrax, too...gosh...

You know, I LOVE wasting the resources of the Fed HazMat folks...keeps em on their toes...one of these days, we'll have a REAL disaster and they'll be ALL ready for it...

you'll see....

Plus...all that money wasted spent...it would have just gone to something hippie and liberalstupid like EDUCATION anyway...

Half and half all the way, baby.

PeTA can suck my teats.

The only difference between anthrax and non-dairy creamer is that at least anthrax kills you quick-like.

Bulhuijo: people are so odd. There's someone in my office that grabs 10 or 12 of the mini creamers (the liquid ones) and stands there drinking them all.

We once had an anthrax scare that turned out to be a crushed altoid.

2003-08-14 03:34:21 PM
BMG keeps sending Anthrax albums to me through the mail.
Should I call the Feds?

2003-08-14 03:57:12 PM
NOT!

A woman called 911 in MA last year, saying she'd found some white powder in her basement, and thought it was Anthrax.

In her basement.

Next to her washing machine.

Right where the washing machine powder goes.

As if there are gangs of terrorists swarming the nation, leaving little piles of Anthrax in suburban basements. I think the cochroaches in the house were smarter than this woman.

I blame George W. Bush.

twobux: A friend of mine had an Anthrax scare at his building. It worked out to be white powder off marshmellow peeps.

I don't remember any white powder on any of my peeps. I remember blue, pink and yellow sugar, but not any white powder.

Regular mallows, yes, on peeps no.

I think you got a bad batch of peeps.
