To be fair, it is fun when blowhards get deflated. But I hardly think that either one of these talking heads will lose any viewership over this.

I think that was a defining post for Fark.

I think I see how this thread is going to go.

A defining moment, so to speak..

2011-05-06 09:24:35 AM
I'm OK with Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz being torn apart for their stupidity. I'll have to watch this sometime this weekend. I'm like a month behind on my Daily Shows.

RminusQ: I'm OK with Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz being torn apart for their stupidity.

It was really more for Schultz's hyperbole and Chris Matthew's wandering train of thought. Or something.

So, you wouldn't call this a "defining moment" of their careers?

Oh. So...the defining moment for me is running an obvious joke into the ground long after Pocket Ninja got to it... :(

Well, hopefully it won't be YOUR defining moment..

Skleenar: It was really more for Schultz's hyperbole and Chris Matthew's wandering train of thought.

Concise and highly accurate description of both. Well done.

Shultz irritates me to no end. He's a wind up doll. An alter ego of a Fox News bobblehead.

I watched him once.

Once.

Jesus. What a brainless cheerleader.

MATTHEWS: We're proud of our president. Americans love having a guy as president, a guy who has a little swagger, who's physical, who's not a complicated guy like [former President Bill] Clinton or even like [former Democratic presidential candidates Michael] Dukakis or [Walter] Mondale, all those guys, [George] McGovern. They want a guy who's president. Women like a guy who's president. Check it out. The women like this war. I think we like having a hero as our president. It's simple. We're not like the Brits. We don't want an indoor prime minister type, or the Danes or the Dutch or the Italians, or a [Russian Federation President Vladimir] Putin. Can you imagine Putin getting elected here? We want a guy as president.

- Chris Matthews gushing like a schoolgirl over Bush's landing on the aircraft carrier and walking to the podium.

2011-05-06 10:41:34 AM
Meh, Matthews was just asking a rhetorical question. He's a loudmouth but he's one of the less retarded ones.

Schultz is a vortex of stupid and lame blended on puree.

2011-05-06 10:41:35 AM
Yeah, that was hilarious. I can't stomach either of them, especially Schultz.

That's what bugs me when people say Maddow is just the left's equivalent of a Fox News pundit. Not even close. That's Ed Shultz in a nutshell.

2011-05-06 10:42:37 AM
My office mate has Schultz's radio show on during the day, every day. It makes me want to rip my ears off the side of my head.

The point of the news media isn't to support one candidate or another. It's for you to take the news media seriously. It provides almost no deep information on any level, so then you go online to message boards and you speculate about what might happen based upon this very small window of information most Americans have.

I have some projects to do today. At some time during the day, a defining moment may look something like this.

2011-05-06 10:47:07 AM
Schulz is a jerk.

People on the left need to be more polite and accomodating, with less demonstrated emotion. Politely opposing the right-wing craziness that's dragging America down is the only way to get anything done.

The best way for a liberal to gain acceptance:

That was very well described. Eludicated. Specified. Deliniated. Defined, if you will.

The right literally is pure misinformation on every level in this country. You're beginning from a losing position if the dick is already in your mouth.

Matthews and probably Schultz will play this on their shows today with a promise to discontinue use of the phrase.

The left has no problem with humor.

Due to the size of Chris Matthews' cranium, a second less-developed and much smaller brain located in the sinuses controls his mouth.
