When an old flag is burned for disposal it is supposed to be in private and in a solemn way.

I disagree with a lot of things the government does, but the USA is still the best country in the world, and seeing people burn flags makes me sick. Sure you have the right to do it, but I should have the right to kick the sh!t out of you if I see you doing it, especially now.

enough arguing already. I just want to see some b00bies!!

"...but the USA is still the best country in the world..."

Thats a reletive term, there is no best country, because there are always people who prefer some other way of living. (and just for the record, even if there was a best country, it wouldn't be the UK).

2001-10-23 11:04:46 AM
_relative_ term! (oops)

2001-10-23 11:08:12 AM
It wouldn't be the US because you can't drink until you're 21.

It woudn't be the UK because you can't drink after 11pm.

I vote for Sweden. Any country that allows you to drink all night and all morning and produced Nina Persson has a lot going for it.

Oh no, hang on, Sweden has some bizarre alcohol laws as well, doesn't it? I give up. Maybe it's the Moon.

God, I need a pint... 1hr 20 to go! Woohoo!

Playa hatah: "We criticize them for hating us? well we're not the ones who's homes and families are being destroyed by errant american bombs."

I really should know better than to feed a troll, but here goes.

Pull your head out of your farking ass. We're just the ones that lost thousands of our loved ones in a cowardly act of terrorism.

The US is going to great measures to avoid civilian casualties. The terrorist sought out innocent civilians as targets.

Pretnar + Saulsa
Your both forgetting that the Afghani population didn't ask for the 911 attacks (How could they, they didn't vote the Talaban in). The attacks were perpetrated by a hard-core group of anti-american people. These people are spread all over the globe so bombing Afghanistan, even if it does get Bin laden, won't stop another anti-US attack from being planned.

What bombing Afghanistan *does* do is to add to the anti-american feelings in countries like Pakistan, making it easier for terroist groups to recruit new members to its cause.

I don't this qualifies as the best Priceless ad ever. You ever see the one where the chick is limboing and she has no panties on or all those kids sitting on the bed next to the couple who "doing it"?

2001-10-23 11:44:46 AM
definitely the Best ever.

2001-10-23 11:50:43 AM
"The attacks were perpetrated by a hard-core group of anti-american people."

Anyone who feels that for some reason we don't have a right to protect ourselves and then burns our flag when we do is anti-American to begin with.

"What bombing Afghanistan *does* do is to add to the anti-american feelings in countries like Pakistan, making it easier for terroist groups to recruit new members to its cause."

Fine. If that's the road they chose, they can all kiss my ass and suffer the fate of their evil comrades, whatever that may end up being.

I was saying that most of Afghanistan's population is no tto blame for the 911 attacks. For the same reason Britain dosn't bomb the whole of Ireland when the IRA set off a bomb in London, the US shouldn't bomb Afghanistan. It misses the real targets and feeds anti-US hatred.

"Fine. If that's the road they chose, they can all kiss my ass and suffer the fate of their evil comrades, whatever that may end up being."

Its one attitude to take but its not going to stop another attack against the US. Tackle the roots of the problems and solve them properly.

Terrorist"I'm going to burn The American flag, start myself on fire with it,then run down the street screaming'Weeeeeee !'"

"For the same reason Britain dosn't bomb the whole of Ireland when the IRA set off a bomb in London, the US shouldn't bomb Afghanistan."

Wow. That's an awful comparison. Y'know why? Because the government of Ireland does not support and fund the IRA!!! The Taleban does support Al Queda!!! C'mon!!!

"Tackle the roots of the problems and solve them properly."

And just how are we supposed to do that without going into Afghanistan? They're in Afghaninstan, y'know.

"the US shouldn't bomb Afghanistan. It misses the real targets and feeds anti-US hatred."

Everything feeds anti-US sentiment, you should know that by now. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.
It's not like we're carpet-bombing everything in sight out there. Our strikes have been on airports, military installations, training grounds, etc. Gotta do whatcha gotta do.

that priceless is old and not even in the top 10 of the best ever.

2001-10-23 01:58:21 PM
I worked in the newly-opened, state-of-the-arts burn center at Western Pennsylvania Hospital for a few weeks. Skin burns are horrible; the patient is in constant agony. It is truly a horrific experience.

But I still grin like a friggin' idiot every time I see this diaperhead torching his dumb ass while destroying Ol' Glory.

It's called poetic justice.

As I understand it, the dipshiat survived the ordeal, but the medical facilities in that pesthole of a nation are not equipped to treat the dude properly. A .45 slug in his noggin might do the trick, but they're saving their ammo to kill us infidel Yankees.

Somebody hit the nail squarely on the head earlier: "Burn, baby, burn!"

(My apologies to the original submitter of that line.)

[On second thought, I scrolled up. It was Rival's line. Thanks, dude!]

The ironic thing about this being the best ever is that all priceless ads suck my shiat.

2001-10-23 02:38:48 PM
Hey Groucho2 and other like(un)minded individuals. Why would you call this guy a "diaper-head" when he does not wear a turban? In fact why would you use such a derogatory term at all; me-thinks that you would be the kind of person to call someone with darker skin then yours N****R.

(*Groucho2 and Rival don capes*): "String 'em up boys!"

2001-10-23 03:12:22 PM
TOO OLD!!!

That thing has been circling the chain letter e-mails for atleast 2 WEEKS OLD...

Frankly, I'm sick of this terrorist bashing all together...

2001-10-23 03:12:48 PM
T_W(?)_O.... I called the towelhead a "diaperhead," not a "diaper-head" as you misquoted me. Get it right, doo-doo head...or do not "doo doo" it at all. When you stupid little douche bags misspell and misquote, you lose credibility--if you even had any to start with.

But you *are* goddam right about one thing.... I *would* string up that fuggin' sonofabiatch for torching my flag. But the flames--HIS flames--punished him enough. He's probably dead now anyway.

Finally, dumbass...your lame reference to "capes" is FARKed. I think you meant "robes" if it were a KKK reference. Which are YOU? A towelhead or a diaperhead...or just another pimple-faced shiathead?

And learn how to punctuate, bozo!

Oh, yes.... "Methinks" is one word--not hyphenated. You really are an imbecile! (But only homos use words like that, so go suck a carrot and calm down!)

2001-10-23 03:47:23 PM
groucho2- way to look like a even bigger dumbass than before by stepping around the real issue by babbling over spelling and punctuation. oh shiat! i hope i didnt lose credibility with spelling errors

"Wow. That's an awful comparison. Y'know why? Because the government of Ireland does not support and fund the IRA!!!"

True, but there are American group that DO support the IRA, can we bomb them? OK a few bombs might miss and hit a hospital, but then you're all evil IRA supporters right, after all theres a few people in America that support the IRA so you must all be bad! Not to mention that only this year the US gave the evil Afghani ruling Talaban millions of dollars in support. My god! Uncle Sam is a sick and evil person! [/sarcasam]

"And just how are we supposed to do that without going into Afghanistan? They're in Afghaninstan, y'know.
"

Some of them are in Afghanistan, some more are in Pakistan, some more in other countries, a few are still in the US itself. You could kill every living thing in Afghanistan, you'd still get a terroist attack withing ten years time from the same/related groups, except this time there would be an extra cause for its supporters.

"Everything feeds anti-US sentiment, you should know that by now. Damned if we do, damned if we don't."

Partly true, anti-US people aren't going to disappear over night. But do you really want to help them win over new converts to their cause?

2001-10-23 04:26:05 PM
Bollox! Where did the bold tag come from >:(

2001-10-23 04:35:00 PM
Okay Blumf. What do we do. Just sit here? Not retaliate in any way for the bloodiest day in American history? We'll probably be attacked again, but at least it'll be for the same old causes.
Besides, it seems like lately they've been losing a helluva lot more members than they've been gaining.

2001-10-23 04:42:20 PM
I have film of a friend who burned a flag several years ago on the 4th of July. Too bad he didn't think the plan out to its logical conclusion: burning plastic flag leads to melted slag all over hand and much jumping about. Never fails to make me laugh to think of it.

2001-10-23 04:43:09 PM
I'd say let the special forces deal with it. Quietly and decisivly, there would only be rumors then, no news footage of blown up grain stores and UN aid buildings. Makes it harder to stand up and say "look at the American bad guys killing innocents".

Also give the CIA/FBI/NSA/MI5/MI6 guys a very big kick up the arse, they've been relying on electronic surveillance too much and missed out on this.

2001-10-23 05:10:36 PM
Where are the funnies?

2001-10-23 05:12:51 PM
Somebody should burn that Windows flag that Drwii posted. Now THAT would be funny.

2001-10-23 05:22:47 PM
Ninjas!

2001-10-23 05:55:37 PM
I'd hate to live in the horrific world where there are TWO Leonardos.

2001-10-23 07:26:11 PM
Saulusa: Umm, right. They choose planes that had the fewest possible people. The pentagon, its military. White house, a supposed target, was military/government. Hell, wtc counts for economic, but that was full of civilians.

For a small group of people, using what they can, they could have done more. I'm pretty sure they didn't quite have the largest civilian casualty rate in mind. They had goals one could say, perhaps akin to america's in invading afghanistan. Just didn't have an army or such to complete them, so had to use a horrible way to get it done.

2001-10-23 11:25:04 PM
Wait... some of you people are DEFENDING the terrorists who flew airplanes into buildings on September 11?

Please tell me I just misread all that.

Sheesh.. we're supposed to be making fun of nutjobs, not acting like them. Now laugh at the flaming guy, dangit!

2001-10-23 11:40:24 PM
No, not at all. I just disagree with the statement that "The terrorist sought out innocent civilians as targets."

2001-10-24 06:23:36 PM
"For a small group of people, using what they can, they could have done more. I'm pretty sure they didn't quite have the largest civilian casualty rate in mind."

First of all, there was no way they could've told how many people were going to be on those flights, so there goes your "they chose the flights with the fewest passengers." Secondly, if they hadn't wanted to take so many people out in the WTC, they would have done it at 2am instead of 9am. Third, I can't think of many other targets that would've taken out as many people in the country as towers 1 and 2 of the WTC.
C'mon, get a grip on things. If they just wanted this to be a destructive as-little-loss-as-human-life-possible kinda thing, they would've jammed a plane into the Statue of Liberty.
