Gave me some inspiration for something else to do at work, but I don't think I needed at rubber band tutorial to know how to shoot a rubber band. Guess I'm just not a die hard "bandie."

psh. hes a total rubber band amateur. he doesnt even know the basics. when you pull back a rubber band, you want unequal tension on the sides so it doesnt snap together in the middle when you release it and ruin all the propulsion youre gathering. when you release an unequal tension'd rubber band, it will create a spin effect and go much farther.

Bit too in-depth geek-boy for me.

Scaught is right.

the unequal tension will improve distance GREATLY.

Plus it looks cool when flying through the air.

I once shot a fly right out of the air using a small rubber band.

what he says about the Jaegar Rifle is bullshiat.usimg little pieces of folded up paper, this is the absolute best. a folded piece of paper will fly much farter than any standared rubber band, The author5 of this piece should be stripped of all rights to keep and bear rubber bands, as ignorant people with rubber bands soon begin to use them for evil and will eventualy form the nra (national rubberband asociation.) or not

Perrin: Maybe the author meant 1 and 1/8 inch thick, approx. 3 centimeters. That is still a pretty thick rubber band!

my Dad found a rubber band that was like a foot thick... 5feet long and he had to shoot it by his feet and hands........ very hard to perfect.
