I love Darwin. Even though he's dead and all.

I used to go to this site quite a bit, but after the complete lack of any sort of timely updates I kind of forgot about it.

When it is updated it is quite a funny site...

This site has been judged "tasteless" by the filter at work and thus is not accessible. Go figure.

2001-10-22 12:47:28 PM
Hah, my filter here only sifts out smut. I love these things, I got the book at home.

Gotta give it up to the guy that crushed himself with a coke vending machine. I was waiting to hear the story behind the new stickers on the machines.

The source for much of their info seems to be ananova? Isn't Ananova sh!t made up?

I'd like to get one of their "Living on Zionist Time" T-shirts, that story cracks me up.

I don't know what kind of filters you have at work but

Malinois: Thx! I have a cat that drinks coffee; eats pizza, doritos, cheezits, and drinks off the shower floor. Damn thing will eat just about anything.

2001-10-22 01:51:27 PM
LOL! My cat's the same, has no need for manners. The dog at least waits for permission (or until she's sure she won't get caught) :)

gotta love the Darwins......

my bro was up for one of their awards....

Can you believ that the parents of the drunk collage kid who smashed himself with the coke machine is suing?

2001-10-22 02:23:54 PM
Damn I thought I had the only cat that wanted to drink shower water. I also told my girlfriend, the cat only wanted water that had touched my body...she thought I had some sort of jesus complex or somthing. Then she had my shower water, now thats all we drink.

FYI, the JATO car story is urban legend. Based on a true incident and such, but not real. This confirmed by the Arizona and New Mexico Highway Patrol. They have never heard of it and the guy the story is based on assures us, he is very much alive and they were never stoopid enough to fire the boosters. Great story tho.

It's sort of funny in a creepy way to read the coke machine smushed guy's essay on technology, knowing his fate.

An excerpt:

As long as man continues to use technology as he does any other tool and refuses to permit technology to use him, the benefits that society reaps from technology far outweigh the negative aspects that come with it.

I like to compare the Darwin Awards site with the Urban Legends site. There are a lot of awards given out to people that never existed :-)

Oops I forgot the link to the site:
