I'm convinced that people love to make up shiat like this out of some kind of jealousy or coolstorybro weakness. I've read something like this about almost every celebrity who is known for actually being cool, nice and down to earth.

BilltheThrill: Has anyone else noticed that when she first started at SNL 10 years ago, the scar was extremely noticable, but you never see it on 30 Rock.

It's easier to set up lighting, camera angles, and apply more accommodating makeup when it's on film, and you get to do second takes, as well as perform some movie magic in the editing suite.

SNL is much more on the fly, with her doing multiple characters and having very little time to to do makeup for them, and work out camera and lighting angles, which pretty much have to stay the same for each sketch.

They also have to accommodate the audience's view, so they can't clutter up the stage with those large screens that they bounce the light off of, so that it illuminates evenly, eliminating shadows, and thus facial wrinkles and the like.

Holy shiat that's brilliant. Absolutely, 100% right on. Never even occurred to me, but I bet it would pack theaters, especially if she kinda played it half-sarcastically, but with wit. Like a "professional career woman" gone bad, but willingly so.
