If it's not shown in country, people start suspecting propaganda. It's what makes Voice of America and similar new channels get distrusted, while people will watch BBC and CNN because they know that actual US/UK people are seeing those same shows.

Al-Jazeera DOES stream on the internet, very well too. Livestream and a bunch of other places.

I love to get Al-Jazeera on my TV. I'd watch it. I can get it online but that's not the same.

Thank god someone is finally doing this. Without this, in order to get pro-Israeli news, I'd have watch, listen to, or read CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, ABC, Haaretz, the BBC, the Jerusalem Post, NPR, or the New York Times.

The Israeli Network (homepage here) already shows selections from Israeli TV with English subtitles (it's available on the Dish network in the States, it says here, and on Rogers Cable in Canada). So yes, Israeli TV is available worldwide for those who want it.

I doubt an Israeli version of BBC World or Russia Today would make financial sense, though. Israel's a much smaller country than Russia or even the UK, and the Israeli expat community's simply too small.

If this is well done propaganda or not propaganda, it could be interesting. If it is poorly done propaganda it could be excruciating or funny.

Suspending judgement on Israel's actions for the moment, how does one create a "pro-" anything news channel and then in the same breath say its "...simply a channel telling the truth." At the point you declare you have any kind of a stance, your validity is null and void, you've cemented your allegiance and all information that's coming out is immediately tainted and suspect. Hell at least our left and right wing propaganda channels have the sense to say they're "Fair and Balanced" or demand we "Lean Forward" while promoting their unabashedly left leaning pundits.

Though I do like the whole "woe is us" it's 1947 all over again sentiment. Yes, truly you have no history of repeatedly and handedly defeating attacks against your sovereignty by multiple nations at once, nor the unyielding support of the United States. This article is amazingly insulting to the intelligence of ANYONE reading it. There are two lines of logic, one about impartial news and the other about "winning" an image "war." That's.... not compatible. At all. In anyone's brain who isn't retarded.
