"Veg News has written tens (possibly hundreds) of articles extolling the virtues of a vegan lifestyle, while purchasing rock-bottom priced stock photos of MEAT, EGGS, DAIRY and other completely non-vegan things," the post from a woman with no real life or problems said.

That's impossible, the system's too young. It's full of debris; any spacecraft that stayed for long would get clobbered.

Seriously. I can just picture that blogger sitting at her desk furiously writing up this article and I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Try being unemployed for months on end. Then worry about where a magazine gets their stock photos. farking morons.

Speaking of meat.....
Two guys were walking down the street when they noticed a dog licking his enormous cock and ball sack

So the first guy turns to the other guy and say's "Man I sure wish I could do that"

So the second guy looks at him rather strangely and say's "OK, whatever dude...but may I suggest that you pet him first"

Of course, had this been a "normal" cooking magazine that had been discovered to contain photos of foods made with dog, cat, horse, monkey, and dolphin, its readers would have reacted calmly.

It is people like this blogger that continue to make it publicly acceptable to openly mock Vegans. Keep up the good work!

I've always found the endless Vegan quest to create vegan versions of meat dishes rather laughable. If meat is so disgusting, why do you spend so much time trying to recreate it in your cooking? Oh that's right, meat is tasty!

Unlike now where the food has soap, glue and acetone added for cosmetic effect. Really, who gives a crap if the food in the photo would have been inedible?

Though I have noticed some vegans have this weird theory like animals that have already been killed and packaged will revive somehow if they just don't come into contact with them for any reason or permit anyone else to. So, like, somehow buying a magazine that had bought a picture that had a dead animal in it is the same as having killed the animal. Just like buying a hamburger for your coworker who gives you his own money to do so on the day you're supposed to get lunch, is the same as killing the cow yourself.

Some animals we eat, some we don't. Some animals are eaten in some cultures but not others. So what? Do you have a point?

The thread was over after doglover rendered an opinion anyway.

I have a vegetarian friend who is vegetarian only because meat and her digestive system are not buddies. She HATES vegetarians and vegans like the ones in this article because a) she thinks they're morons and b) they make her feel a little embarrassed asking for the vegetarian options because she doesn't want to be associated with them.

She's gonna laugh her ASS off when I show her this article.

(She won't eat fake meat either, which is another reason we can be friends)

Despite knowing the complete lack of reality and intelligence I knew I was walking into, I tried to read that article. I really don't understand the vegan hate.

I wish I had the strength to give up meat. Obviously, anyone with half a brain and a tenth of a heart can see that it's morally outrageous that we force, say, pigs (who are significantly more intelligent than dogs) to live their lives in a cage so small that they can't turn around. Pigs have a strong instinct to cuddle their young, but pigs grown for meat can't do so, because we keep them in cages where their piglets can suckle for milk, but the mother can't hold the piglets in her arms. She'll just use her hooves to try to scrape towards them, and she'll oink loudly, but she'll never reach her own offspring because we put (literally) prison bars between her and them.

It's hideous what we do to these animals. I've cut back on meat, I try to go a couple of days a week without any at all. But I don't hate vegans. I admire them.

WTF? Of course meat is tasty. All kinds of morally questionable things are pleasurable. The mere fact that it's enjoyable to eat does not change the ethics of eating it.

Well, it's tough for a suspected troll to convince someone that they're not a troll. But, speaking honestly, I'm not a troll. Let me be clear. I think:

1. Animals are not as psychologically complex as humans, but they can experience some emotions: including pleasure and suffering.

2. The meat industry causes an enormous amount of suffering to animals.

3. The pleasure that humans get from eating meat (and trust me, I get a LOT), does not justify the amount of suffering that is caused by the practice.

So I think it is morally wrong to eat meat. I think that follows logically from the above points. If you disagree with any of the above points, or if you disagree with the conclusion I have drawn from them, please tell me exactly what pushes your chuckle button.

I should be clear, though: I do eat meat. I'm cutting back, but it's hard as shiat.

Vegans haven't been this gobsmacked since they realized half their shoes were made of leather. Wait till they realize it is impossible to take part in society without exploiting at least some animals!

I eat meat and I love it too.

But I don't justify it based on having evolved to eat meat. Do you think that it is morally correct to engage in any behavior that has existed in the human species for a long time?

At best your arguments would be a criticism of industrial farming methods, but not eating meat in and of itself.

This magazine new exactly what they where doing...

They are using pictures of real food to try and lure unsuspecting bacon loving americans into trying that tofurkey bu||shiat. The meat of this crime isnt against the vegans...its the rest of that should be up in arms. Our children could see pictures of succulent short ribs (with the bones photoshopped out of course) on the cover of this hippy rag and think this is acceptable behavior.
