Alas, the Yak still remains nameless at this point. I keep meaning to resume the contest (I still owe prizes) but something always seems to keep interfering ... if you have ever heard the old saying "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" I'm not only gonna get a first class window seat, I'm gonna have my own private jet!

Wow... where is everyone?! It's been pretty quiet all day! I guess I need to stop lurking and post some pics or something. sherpa - what kind of soup? Soup sounds good to me! Cassie and I have been occupying the couch pretty much all day today. I'm so bored by movies and books and video games. I'm in too much pain to even quilt today, so I'm lying around with an ice pack on my tummy. Ok, I'll stop whining now... here's a cat or two or more (depending on what I find) to make up for it!

Things have calmed down quite a bit. Juno isn't doing her blood curdling screams all the time. They're still running around and wrestling but it doesn't seem like anyone is being killed anymore.

If I thought it would help I would be out doing a naked snow dance in my front yard. It is so dry here that we started having wild fires in March - that shouldn't be happening until July or August.

OOOOO I have always wanted to go there. I love the Pacific Northwest, but New Mexico has fascinated me for a long time.

Love the high desert here too.

Suzy and I went to the Salem Saturday Market this afternoon and there was a lady there spinning alpaca wool. She had some dog and cat beds there stuffed with alpaca wool. Suzy curled up on one immediately. I could barely get her off of it. I am going to get one for her next weekend.
