Who in the wide wide world of sports is David Patten? And I live in New England. Eeeesh...
2001-10-21 05:24:54 PM

Yeah, yeah that's nice. HOW ABOUT MY RAMS BABY!!!!!

New York, New York. The town so nice, we beat them twice.
2001-10-21 06:13:10 PM
patten came from cleveland (go figure you haven't heard from him.)

i know doug johnson did the same thing in college in 1998, BTW.

OOH YEAH BABY! Watch out people! Coz' the Pats are back! Next week, Denver.
2001-10-21 06:50:24 PM
Why did the Rams onside kick when they were up 31-7? That just sucks ass.
2001-10-21 06:59:02 PM
if only we could play the Colts more often....
2001-10-21 07:42:06 PM
Charlie: Just keeping the Jets on their toes. Not that it made any difference though.
2001-10-21 08:05:16 PM
im not much for sports but my drummer is
we were watchin the game during band practice
that was one sick farkin game
2001-10-21 08:16:20 PM
Charlie: For shiats and giggles, perhaps. Or because Marshall Faulk's backup damn near had 200 rushing yards and they wanted to give someone else a chance to get some playing time.
2001-10-21 10:12:19 PM
I bet the asses in my Fantasy League dont think Im such an idiot now for picking up Anthony Thomas from the Bears.
2001-10-21 10:28:07 PM
Peeler: It'll be even nicer when the Rams lose to the Niners December 7th.
2001-10-21 10:36:06 PM
Not the special, I could have done all that, AND kicked a field goal.

2001-10-21 11:07:26 PM
Give that boy a raise!

And you have to love Sportscenter:
"Brady looking for Patten, the Colts looking like Rommel."
2001-10-21 11:08:30 PM
2 teams scare me in the NFC. The Bears and the 49ers.
2001-10-21 11:18:04 PM
Watch out for them Steelers, pretty damn impressive that they keep winning without a quarterback. Bettis had to throw the touchdown for Stewart.
2001-10-21 11:50:49 PM
BigP: Lucky you, being a fan of the best looking team so far this season. Unlucky me, being a Jets fan at the stadium today! That offside kick was unnecessary. We were already humiliated. Rams = sore sports!
2001-10-21 11:53:09 PM
I know im going to get pelted for saying this... but my vikes are coming back, I feel a championship this year.
2001-10-21 11:58:23 PM
Skwalker, I *did* that. On a broken ankle. In the snow. However, it was the CFL and _not_ the greycup, so there wasn't really any coverage. :(

2001-10-22 12:07:54 AM
yeah, jigato, you keep on feelin that championship. it won't, of course, come this year. i'm sure that you "felt" a championship last year, and i'm sure that you'll "feel" a championship next year, too. and the year after, and the year after, etc.

and, when the vikes finally win a superbowl, be it 20 years from now, i'm sure that you'll be the first one standing up and screaming, "see, i told you so! I had a feeling! i knew it all along!"
2001-10-22 12:17:15 AM
Mike Martz implied the reason for the onside kick was to teach a select few big mouths on the Jets a lesson. Seems they were disrespecting the Rams a bit in their pre-game banter. Said our offense was soft and ran hid last week. We had to spank the Jets a bit, teach them a lesson.

2001-10-22 12:22:14 AM
hey, peeler, aren't you from montana?

why are you such a big rams fan? most people from montana, in my experience, are packer fans.
2001-10-22 12:27:48 AM
Whole lotta Ram's fans these days. Too bad most of em hang their Rams jersey next to their Packer, Cowboy, and 49er stuff from back when they were fans of those teams too.
2001-10-22 12:34:52 AM
well said fuh_q.
2001-10-22 01:02:24 AM
Peeler talking smack has been around as long as football has. However, I do think the onside kick was pretty funny.
2001-10-22 01:18:25 AM
How about this for irony: Wife and I are *HUGE* Bronco fans and watched them LOSE.

And I still won $75 bucks because of the score.

I will buy beer on their loss. Sad.
2001-10-22 01:35:38 AM
Missouri. I'm in St.Louis. My wife is from Denver and is a big Bronco fan. She had her glory a few years ago when the Broncs won their Super Bowls. Now it's the Ram's turn baby. We're going to do it again.

Montana. Ha ha.

Yankees suck by the way. The forces that be, gave them another win last night. Conspiracy if I ever smelled one. Screw them. Screw them with a donkeys tool. Line them up a rape them with a anthrax infested gorilla. I hate them. Piss on them and Steinbrenner too, the rich fuk.
2001-10-22 09:44:17 AM

Bigpeeler, I'm with you on the Yankees. If Seattle doesn't come back, then Johnson and Schilling will knock those bastards around like redheaded stepchildren.

Myself, I'm a Cubs fan. I can't beliueve they freaking choked in August. Grrr...

Oh, this is a football topic? My bad. Go Niners!
2001-10-22 01:07:04 PM
Err...believe...that is all, thank you
2001-10-22 06:33:33 PM
