1. Get rid of the "Federal" Reserve and return to sound money policy.

2. Overturn NAFTA and GATT.

3. Pull all troops from foreign lands.

What's so hard about doing that in four years?

Misappropriation of my mind is going to come back and bite you in the ass, dumbkopfs.

This is your LAST warning.

I am NOT a tea-bagger.

I am NOT a Republican.

I am NOT a Democrat.

I am NOT an Independent.

I am NOT your tool.

I AM a thinking American. I DEMAND your respect!~

I am not yer label, boo.

Ask me, and I may speak to you, but please, please, please...

PLEASE DON'T ASS-U-ME!

Apologies fer the caps.

Please don't assume.

You do yourself, and your-human disservice. Ask with integrity, and I will answer same...

;)

Polls are not respectful asking...

They are dumbed-down spectacles, and I'm tired of it!

Ask with integrity.

ok, who sets interest rates then? or will a bunch of big banks get together and decide.

ok, who will provide these needs?? (wikipedia copypasta)
Current functions of the Federal Reserve System include:[7][34]

To address the problem of banking panics
To serve as the central bank for the United States
To strike a balance between private interests of banks and the centralized responsibility of government
To supervise and regulate banking institutions
To protect the credit rights of consumers
To manage the nation's money supply through monetary policy to achieve the sometimes-conflicting goals of
maximum employment
stable prices, including prevention of either inflation or deflation[35]
moderate long-term interest rates
To maintain the stability of the financial system and contain systemic risk in financial markets
To provide financial services to depository institutions, the U.S. government, and foreign official institutions, including playing a major role in operating the nation's payments system
To facilitate the exchange of payments among regions
To respond to local liquidity needs
To strengthen U.S. standing in the world economy

so you are ok with trade wars? we could put all kinds of protectionist tarrifs on pretty much everything we import.
this would fix the trade imbalance! this would solve the THEY USE CHILD/SLAVE LABOR problem. ummmmm but.
this would cause insane inflation on pretty much everything that we buy every day. this would also cause shortages of goods because our trading partners would take their goods else where.

3)
ok. all our troops are home now. iraq collapsed and was take over by iran. unless the french sold iraq TONS of weapons. good for iraq and france. afghanistan is back in control of the taliban. nice waste of lives and money. poof. all our overseas bases are closed. no worries. South Korea vs North Korea? man ..... dont even want to think about this war. but you are ok with it, cause they are not americans. sigh

but, now that all the soldiers are home, we dont need them sitting at home, so they are all discharged. figure 1 million unemployed. the GREAT news is that you could cut the defense budget to say 10% of what it is now.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm that does save us a ton of money.

what were those unemployed DOD employees going to do again?

But the budget would be balanced, the war on drugs would be over, and the patriot act would be gone. Gitmo would be closed. troops would be home from afghanistan, iraq and we wouldn't be dropping bombs on libya. companies would BLEED for moving jobs overseas. RIAA would be kicked in the balls repeatedly until they stopped being assholes. Net Neutrality would be a f*cking constitutional amendment and Comcast's CEO would be scrubbing toilets in a federal prison.

It's harder and harder every day to decide which group of idiots is more idiotic: Republican politicians, or the people who vote for them.

Weaver95 in 2012 ... I don't think he'd last 3 years, though. I doubt he'd make it to the convention. They'd get rid of him way before then, one way or another. A car "accident" or plane crash or incriminating photos of some kind.

Yo, Space-Poet, we should workshop, yo.

I am a cyberpoet, and you are a Space-Poet. I suggest we might learn and collaborate. However, sexuality shall be absent unless appearing in poetics. Why?

I have been teased lately about being teh ghey in my wrokplace. Whiler I maintain that sexuality is immaterial and suspect as mockmaterial, these hajokers continue unabated regardless.

They are small compared to my metaphorical dick in mind, presence, history, and actionionable intelligence. If I didn't want my jorb I might break them both into pieces, but I want my job, I wanted my anonymity on Fark, and now all seems lost...

Is that the way of a poet?

'Twould seem so.

Two jobs broken by babyflakes.

It seems I may soon be only cyberpoet.

The Kos retardation has spawned an offspring with all the Derp, and half the thought process to write anything other than the latest twat/coont joke they heard on Bill Mahr's latest whining screed.

At least my god actually exists, my savior isn't a crusty old white guy, and I only really hate things who beget that hatred.

Je5tEr: More Americans bother to vote for American Idol than do in general elections, so that sounds like a fair assessment.

Why hello there, Load of Cynical Bullshiat. More votes are cast in American Idol polls than in general elections, but American Idol allows anyone to vote and does not follow a "one person, one vote" rule. The actual number of people voting in American Idol polls is much smaller than voting in general elections, it's simply that they vote multiple times.

Seriously, if you use the toll-free number or messaging you can vote an unlimited number of times, and if you vote through the website you're limited to voting 50 TIMES. In reality about a million people vote for American Idol, out of the 25-30 million who watch it.

In most cases, the economic aftershocks. In your third issue, there are some places which simply are not ready for us to leave yet, and will not be for some time: consider what happened the last time we left Afghanistan. I agree that all of these things should be done, but to be done well they must be done slowly, with time between steps for the economic/political climate to adjust before taking the next step. That's going to take longer than one or even two Presidential terms.

Could someone try to do them quickly? Sure, but not without extreme amounts of pain: more, frankly, than is usually worth it.

Uhm, Dude?
like the Federal Reserve bank IS a group of comercial banks. it is an NGO, as in NON GOVERNMENTAL. ONE member of the board of directors is appointed by the President and approved by Congress, the rest of the board is made up of comercial bankers.
In truth they do not give a F*CK about any of the points you have made, they just want to get Money, often by scraping the wealth off of the working people of the world.
maybe it has some sort of benifit, but mostly it just costs WAY TOO MUCH. It is run by and for the multi-national corporations, and not for us the tax payers in the US.

I figure I'd be assassinated by my third year in office.

Too bad you're still a Libertarian and a homophobe. Further deregulation and cuts to government (the ones you would make outside of the wars) will be so awesome for the little people! Personally, Libertarians are worse than Republicans. At least Republicans are fine okay with being completely evil douchebags. Libertarians still pretend like they care about the middle and lower classes. The only way to make our economy worse than it is when Republicans are in charge is to put Libertarians in charge.

gshepnyc: Tumunga: gshepnyc: I'm sure simpletons like her and like her supporters truly believe this to be possible. That's why maybe it's not a great idea to either elect a simpleton or to let them dominate quite as much of the conversation as they tend to.

You sound fat.

That, being the best you could do, proves my point.

And, your witty retort, proves my point.

/I thought that was the cool reply on Fark. Apparently I'm doing it wrong.

Is it just me, or do the people running for POTUS get crazier (and more destructive) every term?

Weaver is what happens when a perfectly average person actually pays attention and puts two and two together.

Smelly Pirate Hooker

Yeah, you are.

This

Tumunga: ultraholland: Crazy people usually aren't aware of their craziness.

I believe that statement encompasses all of the Libtard herpderps on the Fark string.

doesn't help,

And this:

imgod2u: osgeek: imgod2u:
So how exactly would you "tax the rich"? We've tried raising taxes...didn't really work. Not that I disagree with the general notion.

How about corporatocracy? What exactly would you change? No more limited liability? Tariffs? How about a national sales tax? We've already got one of the highest corporate income taxes in the world. Of course, most mega-corporations never pay it....

What about the Wall Street bullet? What exact policies would you change with regards to the stock market? How would it increase revenue?

Not that I don't admire your thoughtful approach to this subject... seriously, it gives me a little hope that people are thinking about this stuff rather than just knee-jerk reacting in the manner prescribed by their team leaders...

But this is FARK. This forum is good for a funny graphic and a funny comment every once in a while, but it's barely above 4chan in its intellectual maturity and ability to talk sensibly about real problems.

Fine! I'll go back to the naked web coder thread then.

makes osgeek a supplicant.

Hey, ya'll, these yahoos are used to you on yer knees. Please stand up.

Stand up.
