I want to find a legal means to ship anti-vaxers to Retard Island.

Also, I want to find an island in the middle of no where and rename it Retard Island.

Fixed, nerd style.

Seriously though, wtf are they doing sending kids home in the middle of the day for this technicality? They could have at least let them finish out the day so they go home on the school bus - with the stupid letter.

Bishop's mother Rose Antoine says "I just don't agree with them kicking children out of school over an immunization."

That's nice. I don't agree with you endangering the lives of other people because you're too much of a dumb twat to vaccinate your children.

2011-04-06 10:41:05 AM
The best thing about immunizations is that if you don't keep them up to date that just means you can get them all done at once, both arms and hopefully none in the ass.

I know your just being snarky, but this isn't a valid excuse because; walk-in clincs, hospitals, and your local heath nurse can all vaccinate you. You don't even need a doctor. I've lived in Ontario my whole life and never heard of anyone having an issue.

Also; the school gives them out, so these would be students that didn't show up on vaccine day.

FTA: "A number of students were able to get immunizations immediately and should be back in class by Wednesday."

Read: All students who don't heave deadbeat parents were able to . . .

When an obvious retard says something that's plainly full of shiat, it's best to do a little research before backing them up. Otherwise, you'll look like you're full of shiat yourself. We wouldn't want that, would we?

I refuse to vaccinate my children. There is absolutely zero evidence that vaccinations prevent any more illnesses than they cause. Out of ten vaccinated children, three will develop autism and two others will face significant developmental challenges. When my children are old enough, they can decide if vaccination is right for them. Parents should not gamble with their children's health.

I'm all for vaccinating against life-threatening stuff, but for things like chicken pox or rotovirus, I just don't see the point.

More like sabotaged medicine, dude. The corporatist Cons have been syphoning of funding for healthcare every chance they can to undermine it and sell it out to private interests.

Betenoreus:
Welcome to socialized medicine, folks!

The doctor shortage has diddly crap to do with any socialized medicine, we actually have a worse doctor shortage in the USA.
Example of the many stories in the past 5 years covering this little fact. (new window)

I'm paying out of pocket for my doctor in the USA, and unless it was an emergency (she would consider a vax an emergency, though) I'd be expected to wait 3-10 days, or drop in on her every-other week drop-in day and wait probably a couple of hours. My pulmo takes a minimum of 6 weeks notice to change appointments, and I have had to wait 8 months for a fricking screening appointment for another specialist.

Of course, like Canada, we have immunization clinics that are neither hard to find nor expensive to go to.

Don't give me no waiting on socialized medicine nonsense when I've got friends waiting YEARS to be able to afford simple procedures I'm sure they'd prefer to spend months waiting for.

/Don't care if it's trolling.
//Doctor shortage isn't a joking thing.
///No way to fix it in US without importing doctors from abroad or fixing our MCAT/Med School Admissions process.

Let me put this in simple words so the anti-vaccination tards can understand:

Vaccinations do not cause autism. Vaccinations are important because of something called herd immunity. It means if we all get medicine to prevent getting sick in the first place, we will be better off in the long run.

Show me the money, then.

Show me the huge profits that vaccines create for the drug companies.

Show me the huge profits doctors make giving vaccines.

Show it to me. Once you have done that, then show me how, even if there are huge profits all around, that proves that vaccines are not safe or effective.

Show me the evidence that vaccines are not effective.

Show me the evidence that vaccines cause autism, or trigger it.

I'll show you the huge profits made by alternate "medicine" suppliers and practitioners who don't even have to make even a basic attempt at proving that their products or treatments are safe or effective.

I'll show you the people hurt or killed by vaccine preventable diseases.

I'll show you the difficult and exacting process by which a vaccine is approved for human use. I'll show you the evidence that they do far more good than harm.

This is why our healthcare system needs to be run more like an assembly line.

Go to school to register at start of summer, have a clinic station set up. Before you register you go to the station.

Station 1. Immunize
Station 2. Weight, Height
Station 3. Vitals
Station 4. Blood and urine samples *If appropriate IDK if they do this for school physicals*
Station 5. Doctor reviews essential information, signs off on chart.
Station 6. Ok to register.

Only the fit will survive (where "fit" = "those whose parents aren't morons").
