Look at the windows, there is so much sunlight coming in it would be difficult to see shadows with how long they exposed the film. But you can see shadows under the reclining/rocking(?) chair. And the chairs at front/right have small shadows at the bottom of the legs.

See, the thing is, I think Kubrick was the best movie genius, ever. I've watched all his films over & over & over, read about them, everything. 2001 was a brain-altering experience, like taking LSD or reading Gravity's Rainbow.

That hotel is gone now. There's still a great view from that spot though, overlooking the Hudson Valley.
