Matt Dillon was a prick when filming "Rumblefish", shot shortly after "The Outsiders".

Some scenes of "Rumblefish" were shot literally outside the backdoor of my house in Sapulpa, OK. Dillon never had time to talk to any fans even though hundreds stood quietly downtown while filming took place.

I did get S.E. Hinton and Francis Ford Coppalla's autographs though.

I only remember Tom Cruise being in that movie for like 5 minutes in 2 Scenes(at The home of the Curtis Boys and the end fight).

I honestly don't know, making it worse the wife is Swayze-crazy and I thought we had every film he'd ever appeared.

Just looked up a top 50 films of '83 and I've seen then all... except for this film sitting at #28 which I've never heard of. Heck, I've seen Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone multiple times somehow.

Did you not read the book in 6th grade like every other child of that age?

Sick and Tired

I sincerely love that Diane Lane aged naturally and is okay with showing her older body (no Studmanning here, I am in farking love with her). I hope she is seen as an inspiration to younger actresses that plastic surgery is not the way to go, and it is in fact possible to be quote-unquote older and still a knockout.

mitchcumstein1: Did you not read the book in 6th grade like every other child of that age?

Not that I recall, although in all fairness my elementary school's library was an old broom closet with a somewhat limited selection. I don't remember reading much school-assigned books at all, would bring in my own copies of books like the Time Machine and 1984 to read.

Anyone else feel like those quotes from a --- woah. I was going to say those quotes from his journal read more like retrospectives than the actual thoughts of a 15-yr-old, but Lowe was 19 when Outsiders came out. He looked like a little kid though!

You live in some sort of Outsiders free zone.

Snatch Bandergrip: I sincerely love that Diane Lane aged naturally and is okay with showing her older body

Aye, but she's lucky enough to have won the genetic lottery in the fact that she only gets more beautiful with age. I don't know if she's had plastic surgery or not and if she hasn't, dayum.

I'd take her now over the woman she was 15-20 years ago. She was pretty then, she's beautiful now.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay

My thoughts exactly. We read the books and followed up with the movie.

Of course, being a public school I'm surprised we didn't have a corporate tie-in.
