" Lomonaco is pushing for a conviction on a lesser charge, if not outright acquittal."

So if the guy is acquitted, will the defendant celebrate by having dinner at his lawyer's house?

It pains me to think how that show was killed to make room for a failed attempt to put Leno on in Primetime.

Check out 'Raising Hope" on Fox. It's Greg Garcia's new show, and it has a similar sense of humor and writing. A few of the Earl actors have even shown up, including Jason Lee, and the guy who played Kenny is a regular.

I was reading about that movie this morning, and I think I'll try to watch it soon. I like Dale Dickey; she won an award for that performance.

I'm happy with what I got. It wasn't a 12 episode 1 season strike out like Firefly. I got a ton of good episodes and like with British TV, you get X, and they're done. I feel the same way about Arrested Development.

Much better 3-4 short sweet seasons than dragging something out to its death.

Only thing I'm pissed off about is the cliffhanger.

Me too. I wish they'd do a reunion episode to finish off the series.

If you're not going to renew a show, fine, but there should be a rule that any show that lasts a certain amount of time should get more notice of cancellation so they can give the fans a real final episode. I'm still bummed The A Team never got one.

Unfortunately the ratings went down each season. You had to get in near the beginning to have an interest I suppose. I watched from early season 1 until the end, but I could tell that even though the show was still quite fresh in season 3-4, the numbers just weren't there. I think it would still do well on a cable network, but just like Arrested Development, the key players have moved on.

I've got a gut feeling that when the Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute says you're not crazy, you're probably not crazy, because I'm sure they know crazy when they see it.
