You'd have to be a complete ignoramus not to see that the Republicans are completely ignoring their campaign promise and that it was all a ruse to get the swing vote in 2010. They will dearly pay for it come 2012.

I think I Said already covered this:

1. Ban/Restrict abortion
2. Redefine rape
3. End Net Neutrality
4. Ban Gay Marriage
5. Investigate Muslims
6. Voter ID
7. Secession
8. Make Obama show his birth certificate . . .again . . . everyday . . . forever
9. Repeal Union Rights
10.Restrict voting ability of college students
11.De-fund Obama's Teleprompter (seriously)

...and the new one from today is adding "In God We Trust" to all federal buildings.

FTA:
1) Curtailing Abortion Rights
2) Defunding Planned Parenthood
3) Defunding NPR
4) Investigating American Muslims
5) Declaring English As America's Official Language
6) Reaffirming The "In God We Trust" Motto

Any Fark Republicans want to explain how any of these are good uses of Congressional time and money, and how your party isn't screwing this country into the ground? Farking idiots.

How YOU doin'?

Seriously though, "the measure raises costs for businesses by eliminating tax deductions on employee health insurance plans that cover abortion."

WTF? Does this apply to everybody? I'm a guy on a single plan, and I'm relatively confident that I won't be having an abortion anytime soon. If the group plan that my employer uses allows abortion in some circumstances, do I lose my tax benefits too? Or does this just punish those evil temptresses with their boobs and vaginas who are constantly trying to seduce me into sinning? I'm not sure which would be worse. It's pretty farking evil either way.

Though I will give them credit. They haven't started pimping a flag-burning amendment this time around.

i'd like to believe that. I really would. But I think the Republicans will wave the flag and do their level best to scare the f*cking hell outta voters. then offer to save them from CERTAIN DOOM, but only if they vote straight ticket Republican. Because...y'know...socialism. for the children. commies. muslims commies with aborted babies. terrorism bananna earthquake. OMG! see! you HAVE to vote Republican or we'll all DIIIIIIIIIIIE!

and it'll work. the voters will get scared, forget about being lied to, and they'll vote Republican. Because voters are stupid.

It spun in the twilight dim as well
And gods and men marched off to hell.

So what specific part of the constitution did they cite to give them this authority?

Or did you guys already give up on this campaign promise when they started to cite the "General welfare clause" which they already have as their "specific constitutional authority"?

Funny how everything was "Not good enough!!" before the Republicans got in office and now its. "Well it's doesn't matter they completely lied to us!!"

Why is it that people think that Congress can create jobs (besides government jobs)?

Even Obama admitted that the shovel-ready job creation was fake.

That's a great question for everyone that voted republican in 2010 and put the party that landed us in the biggest depression since the 30s back into control of the House after campaigning on the premise of job creation.

nobody expects congress to actually go out and 'create jobs'. but it sure would be nice if congress would stop rewarding corporations for moving jobs out of the country. it would also be super spiffy if congress made a few structural changes that rewarded businesses for adding people to the workforce. And while we're dreaming, how about making it easier for local homegrown businesses to expand? lower the barriers to entry for telecommunications and related industries, and break up a couple neo-monopolies to free up capital and resources.
