I'm really, really hoping that it was a case of a guy who just couldn't bear thinking about his mom being gone and that he couldn't handle the calling the ambulance/funeral home/newspapers/friends/family deal. This is what I'm really hoping for. And not, say, just saving money on props for a new flick.
