Jon Kyl of Arizona, Jeff Sessions of Alabama, or James Risch of Idaho

I'm guessing Sessions.

Also (and I realize this happened last December) haven't they (for now) done away with anonymous holds, over the objections of Tea Party members like RAND PAUL?

What! Three elected officials with likely corporate backing desperately do not want the public to know they obey corporate requests before public protection? Color me Shocked!

Weaver95: that 'anonymous hold' thing pisses me off.

Senate ends practice of secret holds (new window)

The Senate kicked off a series of stacked votes that would alter the Senate rules for the 112th Congress with a 92-4 vote to end the practice of secret holds.

The four Senators voting against the resolution were Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Jim DeMint (R- S.C.), and John Ensign (R-Nev.)

So 3 of the 4 Senate Tea Party caucus members fought to keep secret holds, plus Ensign.

Under no circumstances should an elected official be able to do anything involving the legislative process anonymously.

They have secret Senators now?

Seriously, this could be a boon to people who hate political ads. Just vote along party lines for Anonymous. Most people do this anyway.

Yeah, this is the kind of thing that brings into question the actual commitment of the "Tea Party" to the idealistic platitudes they hose their constituents with in order to get themselves elected. What was that about transparency in government, Rand?

Yes, replace it with for-profit corporate-run media.

You know, Corporate America forces you into all sorts of taxes, but they do it secretly and anonymously, which is kind of the point of the article. I've never heard you rale against that. Where's your outcry? Or is it only bad when a big bad Democrat is in control?

But why don't you stick to the point? Are you incapable of that?

The meme about people opposed to the elitists being redneck religious fewls is getting tired. It's just us, regular Joes with a regular job infuriated by the selling out being done. These NPR jokers have been operating out in the open for far too long. This new era of castigation of unpatriotic liberal a-holes has been a long time coming. God Bless America. I like the way the new in power party is going about their business. America was much stronger when the commies and America haters stayed in the shadows.

I seriously doubt you could find three non-liberal journalists, corporate or otherwise. I wouldn't worry too much about that slant going away anytime soon. Journalists, at the end of the day, are not much brighter than Disc/Board Jockeys. Both gravitated to the liberal arts sections of school, be it journalism or the music department. So don't cry for us liberal loser. You'll still have more than your share of stomach turning elitist liberal dogma being spouted. It's just not going to be mainstream anymore. As it should be.

Yeah, you know, the entire point of this country is so that it can be run by the people. And if the people decide they want to be run by "liberal communist secret muslim terrorists" than so be it, that is what they voted for.

But in all reality, all people vote for is what corporate whore they want in Congress. The people we vote for lie and claim that they are liberal or conservative. They are farking fascists. Why aren't any of the CEO's, Hedge Fund Managers, etc. sitting in jail for robbing us of billions of dollars? Why haven't we seen ANY of the supposed money that's supposed to be returned to us, be returned? Oh, right, because TERRORISM! OMG! WE GOTTA KILL ALL TEH MUSLIMS OR THEY'LL FLY PLANES INTO OUR HOUSES OMG OMG OMG OMG

When all the oils gone, the robber barons and the congress and the presidents will all fly off to private islands while we are stuck here to rot.

We aren't the Fear God and Jesus party. We aren't even serious about cutting out all the cheese. We know people would die for their cheese. What we are for is more oversight and concern for how the money's being spent. We aren't unreasonable. We know we are buying the peace with our tax dollars. We know the cheese is getting passed out under and over the table in an effort to maintain domestic tranquility. We know this. We would just like a little more balance in the media and by balance, yes a more conservative idealism. One that promotes personal responsibility would be the perfect start.

Next comes the disbandment of government employee unions. Any gripe a union ever had has been rendered unnecessary by labor laws enacted over the years. Everything about the workday has been regulated by the government. So again, pure, outdated, inefficient middleman. I swear there is a part of liberalism that basks in economic malaise and failure.

Anyway, ask your typical union worker and they'll tell you the dues offset whatever extra money they get out of negotiation. It's the basest form of middleman scam going.

I got to come back on this. To be fair, they got busted big time during late 90's boom early 2000's bust. The president of Tyco, Worldcom, Enron and a bunch more either ended up in the fed lockup real deal prison or killed themselves. So yeah, our trustbuster spirit is alive and well. We are taking a break from all the skins collected in the last decade.

I love NPR. They by far seem neutral on most stories. But we have people working there and people do lean. I fear it will get played up by the far lesser, less professional reporters. We allow ourselves to get suckered too much and can't filter out those trying to get at the real story from those who are voice boxes for the left or right. NPR is honorable in this. Their big wigs spoke out of line... they quit or were forced out. Lets see something like that happen over at FOX news.

They dig... they do their job. I wish we had more NPR like stations. I have heard once or twice a reporter get a bit too left, and I am a liberal basically. I don't want to to have my back rubbed and hear what I want to hear. I want the truth eve if it contradicts what I may believe. NPR does this very well.
