I expected the article to say that their mouth were glued shut.

if they fit properly you don't need adhesive. my wife wears them, she eats pretty much anything she wants, never has any trouble without adhesive

The research in the article lacks teeth.

Many dentures, crowns and bridgework contain cadmium as well.

Do your research people.

Nice, but I'm 99% sure that it was an ad for photographic plates.

/You can see "Photography" in the background, reversed
//And it's known that there was a photography company called Forbes at the time

Get rid of the zinc and use titanium to retain the dentures. Problem solved.

The fix is in with our wonderful "objective" media.

"...Many times, patients will overuse the adhesive...."

"...Abusing denture adhesive could cause..."

I wonder how much P&G slipped chief editors and owners under the table?

Oh, yes: they couldn't find anything else except zinc to create the hold?

Researchers warn of denture adhesive dangers, panic grips, elderly

I dunno, the addition of a single comma made the headline funnier to me. You know, panic grips. Those handles that hang down above your car's side passenger window, aka "o shiat handle". After all, that thing'll save yer butt when you're plunging over a 300 meter cliff, yes?

It also reads more like a modern panic piece. MORE items to panic over! And honestly, who isn't afraid of greatly 'Stelle when she wants to give you just a wee kiss?

Denture adhesive is available in various zinc-free formulations. Why they make zinc-containing denture adhesive at all is beyond me.

As a wearer of ill-fitting dentures with too much goop glopped on them in the hopes of getting some manner of adhesion between them and my shriveled, grotesque gums, I'm really getting a kick.......

Can I have an Orafix?

Not without a note. Hell no...

Expensive, but easy easy and well worth the expense.
