FTFA:Asked for comment, Palin aide and unofficial spokeswoman Rebecca Mansour emailed The Huffington Post, claiming that Palin "doesn't recall being invited on Jon Stewart's show" and that no one at her political action committee, SarahPAC "remembers seeing an invitation," adding that the former governor's Fox News contract precludes her from appearing on other networks without approval.

When it was suggested that perhaps she and the other holdouts were afraid to go on the show, Mansour emphasized: "She is certainly not 'afraid' to go on his or any show. Sometimes she chooses to avoid a show, such as David Letterman's, because she doesn't want to give it a ratings or publicity boost. But afraid? No way."

In a follow-up email, Mansour was more vehement: "She's not afraid of his show. She doesn't think about him all that much. Neither do I. However, I do recall that he's been rather vicious in his coverage of her, so I'm not sure why she would even want to appear on his show to give him a ratings boost. If you continue to imply that she's afraid of appearing on a comedian's satire news show, then you're just plain wrong. She's stared down big oil companies and won. Jon Stewart isn't all that intimidating."

Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

And Jon will say "bring it".

And Sarah will come up with some excuse why she can't and then blame TDS.

2011-03-07 12:38:03 PM
The aid added, "Though once Mrs. Palin learns what afraid means, I have no doubt she will be."

Why is she afraid of smart, sexy men?

Please, dear God, let Sarah Palin go on TDS.

She'll never do it because Stewart will never agree to provide
the questions in the form of colouring books 3 months prior.

It's not Stewart she should fear. It's her own face-melting ignorance. Honestly, I'd fear that if she goes on and makes an ass of herself, her supporters would simply be galvanized the way they were after Couric.

Remember, nothing is Sister Sarah's fault. When she says something excruciatingly dumb, it's the media's fault, right? Nothing more than a conspiracy to discredit a strong conservative woman.

Stewart has been a magnanimous host with conservatives. He would get his point across, but in the end it's Palin who would break down without any provocation.

Remember, Palin supporters, there is a reason all of her 'interviews' are with like-minded softball pitchers. The people who control her career know better. If there is anything that should put you off this woman, it's that little fact. And yet you dolts routinely turn out to support her 75k speaking fees.

/even Fark conservatives dislike this woman
//why are you carrying water for her?

I don't understand why anyone would be afraid to go on his show.

He's not exactly a hard-hitting interviewer.

However, she will never appear on his show, but it isn't because she's afraid of him.

Although, to be fair, there really is very little upside for Palin to go on TDS.

I think I sounded like this when I was 15 and invited to my ex's birthday party.

Conservatives always seemed very worked up when the 'f' word comes out. I have never met a bunch of people who absolutely have to make 100% clear that they do not fear anything. Ever.

When it was suggested that perhaps she and the other holdouts were afraid to go on the show, Mansour emphasized: "She is certainly not 'afraid' to go on his or any show. Yeah, Jon and the Daily Show crew have always wandered around in semi-celebrity. It would take the titanic might of Sarah Palin to truly get them into the public eye for once.

Seriously, what color is the retarded sky in your fearful world, conservatives?

Honestly though, why the fark would she go on his show? There is no benefit for her- her fans don't watch that, and nothing is going to make the average Daily Show viewer vote for or listen to her.

It would be like Obama going on Bill O'R...

Oh wait.

Are you kidding? If she could on the the Daily Show and really hold her own against Jon Stewart, my respect for her would increase infinitely (dividing by zero and all that). If she's really as capable as everyone claims, she has everything to gain from proving it to a diverse audience.

mahuika: I think I sounded like this when I was 15 and invited to my ex's birthday party.

That was exactly what I thought. The last time I heard someone making such a big deal about something "not being a big deal", it involved a a senior prom snub.

Stewart would rip her up for the lulz. Maddow would destroy her completely. With all the lies the right has spewed over the last 2 years they don't dare go on a liberal talk show because they would be called out on each and every one of them and they do not have any answers that make any sense what so ever.

Yeah, but you and I know she can't hold her own against Stewart. She couldn't even hold her own against Couric. Jon would be nice and respectful, but he would eat her lunch, poop it out, then make her eat it.

"Thank you. It's great to be here, Jon."

"Y-yes."

"Of course I could tell you about it. I wrote it."

I don't know about that, he's pretty glib and can get to the point rather directly. And Palin is a high-functioning retard. So it's only natural she'd be a little scared.

It's not like Stewart would barrage her. He's quite civil with his guests. I doubt he would try any "gotcha media" tactics or even drop any zingers. It's not like he's Morton Downey Jr.

A lot of pissy-pants liberals in here insulting Sarah Palin, one of the only true conservatives and politicians who's willing to tell it like it is.

This woman is 100% pure republican spirit and intellect and that terrifies you, because you know she can fix the problems Obama continues to create.

Sarah Palin has life experience, executive experience, and experience being tough in the face of adversity. She is the embodiment of the GOP. In fact, the less like Sarah Palin you are, the less republican and conservative you are.

She is the perfect representative of all that red staters and republican voters hold dear. The perfect example of our ideology and just the kind of person our train of thought leads one to be.

If I'm wrong, tell me. But please, I'm as much a troll as she is a liberal.

I'm not even really trying to troll. I'm simply done arguing with republicans over how dumb she is.

So I've changed my approach. From now on (and I ask others to do this to) if someone sings her praises as a republican or a conservative, I'm going to vehemently agree that she is, in fact, the perfect embodiment of conservative thought. I'm going to agree that she absolutely represents the people who support her, and is a true, real deal conservative republican. I honestly think that with the GOP being what it is, this is true. And if they want to scream about how qualified she is to lead them, I can only agree that she should as well. They get the representation they deserve.

Be proud, republicans. You've elevated a true republican to take up your cause.
