Louisville's male cheerleaders sleep with the fishes...

Well, you know Rick Pitino isn't going to nail him in an italian restaurant now.

It was a dumb mistake, but Kuric should have just dribbled the clock out instead of going for the dunk.

Louisville's cheerleading coach said he will use it as a teaching moment. He will use footage of this for the rest of his career to show how cheerleaders can possibly lose a game.

BTW, GO CARDS!

QFT

It was real nice of CBS in central Indiana to cut away to the beginning of the IU-Ohio State game instead of showing the entire overtime period for this game. I was at an alumni event with about 60 people screaming at the TV.

Heading towards the #2 seed in the East. Not ideal, but could be worse. Thanks for asking.

And thanks for comparing apples to oranges. Still burns a bit that you lost by 15 in the Yum! Center? Oh, well, could be worse. At least you didn't have the first loss in the new arena against a cupcake like Drexel.

Oh, wait...

Is "heading towards the #2 seed in the East" the same as "currently the #3 seed in the East?"

It's funny that you can only criticize the way we beat the #4 team in the nation yesterday by pointing out our losses from over two months ago. Let me try that. At least UK didn't lose to a Big East team like Connecticut by 17 points before Thanksgiving.

Oh, wait ...

Nope, it's lame that way too. Let's just look at how many top 10 teams UK has beaten this year. Sadly, it's none, but to be fair they haven't even played any. UofL has played against four top 10 teams and beaten two of them. Oh my! It's nearly March! Who's ready for the tournament?

Kentucky played Louisville, in your house, and did you by 15. You can spin that all you want, but nothing will change the outcome of the game. And, quite frankly, I don't know that I'd go with "the team that whipped us in our building kinda sucks". Because, if that's the case, it says something about your team.

Oh, well. Maybe y'all can actually make it to the Round of 32 this year.

(All trash-talk aside, I'm truly sorry to hear about Buckles blowing his ACL. I hope he heals quickly and comes back 100%. Hate to see a kid get injured, ever, and especially right before the big dance.)

I get it, Gonz. Before you came in and crapped all over this thread, it was about yesterday's game between Louisville and Pittsburgh. But you couldn't stand having a thread about a Louisville victory without bringing up how Kentucky beat them this year. Oh no. It has to be about YOUR team. Somehow that makes this a Kentucky victory. Typical Big Blue Nation crap. How about you just sit on your big blue couch in your big blue living room and watch the DVD of that game while the rest of us get on with the rest of the season.

Correction:

Louisville is now ranked 11 in both the AP and ESPN.
Kentucky is now ranked 20 in the AP and 23 in ESPN.

BTW, last week Pitt was ranked 4 in the AP and 6 in the ESPN. Now they are tied with Duke for 4 in the AP and 5 in the ESPN. They actually gained a spot in the ESPN poll after losing!

I'm sorry, the record books don't seem to show that Memphis ever made that title game.

It also seems that he couldn't even make the Final Four with a ridiculously good draw and 5 first round draft picks.

But yeah, he's totally going to win UK a title. The odds are better that he'll have a season forfeited and leave right when probation hits (again).

With ineligible players. Every time he's "come close" he's had to forfeit the entire season.

Calipari is a terrible coach but a great recruiter. He's going to need a team so talented that it could make the NBA playoffs to win a title because he's not going to do it by coaching his way there.

You're right. If the situation were completely reversed (UK not ranked preseason, Louisville top 15) and UK lost to UofL at home, there's no way in hell that UK fans would be bragging about being ranked 11 when Louisville was 20.

That would never happen.

Is a low IQ a prerequisite to be a Cats fan? It sure seems that way eh Bubba?

Give 'em a break, they ARE Little Brother for a reason. Louisville hasn't played a meaningful game for, what, 25 years now? Quarter of a century? (And Card fans, a truly meaningful game means you hang up a big banner in your gym with two things on it- a year, and the phrase "NCAA Champion".)

See, Cataholic, Louisville Fan wants to be like UK Fan. They want to be meaningful, and have a storied past. Hell, they even tried to recycle our coach to get there- just so they could say stuff like "See! Our coach has an NCAA title!" And when the two schools play a game for bragging rights, they kinda get ticked when fans of one school assert said rights.

They're upset that their coach can't even hold on to a recruit if UK decides "Hey, we'd like that guy". (See Teague, Marquis)

All it took for me to get a bunch of butthurt Louisville fans in this thread was one post- the score of a game that was easily decided, in their house. "Ooh, how are you doing in conference?" is the only reply, and yet UK has a convincing win over Notre Dame, the #2 team in their conference. Sure, UConn beat UK in Maui. That's true. That's fine. What bothers Louisville Fan is that this is a fluke rebuilding year for UK. If any other program lost 5 players early to the NBA Draft, they'd fall to the NIT. UK falls to, oh, #20 or #23, depending on the poll you prefer. That's a UK rebuilding year. That's why Little Brother is scared.

Gonz: (And Card fans, a truly meaningful game means you hang up a big banner in your gym with two things on it- a year, and the phrase "NCAA Champion".)

Wow. In NCAA basketball, only one team per year gets to have a "meaningful game." All the other games are meaningless. I did not know that. Why do they even play them? Wait a minute. If that's true then that little old game in the Yum! Center back in December was meaningless. Thanks, Gonz. You just talked yourself out of an arguement.

Gonz: What bothers Louisville Fan is that this is a fluke rebuilding year for UK.

HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA! Go on Big Blubber! Tell me another'n!

No, two teams do. One wins, one loses.

But if it's not for an NCAA Title, it's really for smack talk and window dressing. Because, in the end, those are what really count.

And seven is greater than two.

Congrats, that means that over the past 25+ years that UK has had one more "meaningful" game than Louisville (and that one was a loss).

Tell me again, when was the last time that UK was in a Final Four?

See, Cataholic, Louisville Fan wants to be like UK Fan. They want to be meaningful, and have a storied past. Nice to see nothing changes, UK fans always living in the past.

All it took for me to get a bunch of butthurt Louisville fans in this thread was one post- the score of a game that was easily decided, in their house.

All it takes to get you to whine like a baby is mentioning that UK is almost 10 spots behind Louisville in the rankings (even though UK started off ranked preseason).

"Ooh, how are you doing in conference?" is the only reply, and yet UK has a convincing win over Notre Dame, the #2 team in their conference. Sure, UConn beat UK in Maui. That's true. That's fine.

Love how UK fans will talk about how the BE is overrated and then simultaneously tout that ND win constantly. They'll say that the UConn game was early in the year and then brag about how UT beat two BE teams early in the year.

That's a Calipari rebuilding year. Nothing to do with UK just like it was nothing to do with Memphis. Granted it's pointless considering he's gotten those recruits for years now and has nothing to show for it. Plus Louisville only brought back one starter this season (who barely played this season and is out now in Buckles), I'd say making up for around 5 players is more than possible (that is if you have a guy who knows how to coach not just recruit).

I think what bothers you most is that no one is talking about UK while everyone is talking about Louisville. You talk about being the "big brother" yet are incredibly obsessed with Louisville and can't stand watching them beat all of these top teams while you watch the sad Wildcats fail to beat the likes of Arkansas.

So if there's only one meaningful game, does this mean that you're admitting that UCLA is the best program in college basketball history?

You have to, otherwise you're being a bit hypocritical right?

Memphis and I was pissed as hell that he stole our recruiting class but I'm not going to blame Cal for the NCAA telling him to play Rose before the season and before the NCAA tournament and then deciding that Rose may or may not have really taken his SAT. Honestly I'm over Cal leaving. UK was his dream job. UL sure as hell isn't anyone's dream job though.
