Wow. Just...WOW. I really wonder what color the sky is in his world.

I was reading elsewhere that he claimed that Al-Qaida had put "hallucinogenic pills in their (the teenagers') coffee with milk, like Nescafe." This is some amazing crazy. Am I the only one who wants to see what would happen if we locked him and Kim Jong together in the same room for a couple of days?

/did you hear that?
//Nescafe causes riots! Oh noes!!

Hey, it's not a bad idea. Blaming Osama has allowed other leaders to beat their people into giving up their rights.

Yeah really. This is the first sane thing he has done.

Khaddafi's behavior and bloated physique seem to be an indication of a drug problem.

Kind of like when Elvis suggested to Nixon that he could go undercover to pinch drug dealers.

What about the Jews?

2011-02-24 11:22:56 AM
1. that he phoned in that latest address is a show of weakness.

2. he stated that Bin Laden has drugged the youth with pills that dissolve in their coffee and makes them high and makes them misbehave by following Bin Laden's orders and revolting against the Libya.

3. he tried to make concessions (!!!) and spoke of low-interest loans.

4. he didn't make more threats as with the 75-minute screaming address.

I thought this was odd...

"This is your country and it is up to you how to deal with it," he said.

Isn't that kinda what they're doing?

Also, trying to convince them the Bin Laden is a bad man because he's wanted by America... yeah, that's a bit odd too.

Gaddafi stressed that Obama's presidency is "a major historical gain" and said, "He is someone I consider a friend. He knows he is a son of Africa. Regardless of his African belonging, he is of Arab Sudanese descent, or of Muslim descent. He is a man whose policy should be supported, and he should be assisted in implementing it in any way possible, since he is now leaning towards peace."

Awesome

Gadfly isn't trying to convince the protestors to stop with that statement, he's trying to convince The West (ie, US) to come to his aid in a "at least I'm not Bin Laden" sort of way

So, he's asking for American intervention?

Really?

Y'know, as subby said, that kind of goes with saying Bin Laden is behind it.

We might just have to come in and pacify the area, and if there just happens to be an International Arrest Warrant for Qaddafi for Crimes against Humanity, we'd have to comply. Oh look, now we have to occupy them and build up a new, democratic Libya. They will even look on us as liberators.

/sarcasm, mostly.
//I think he's desperate, he knows he's close to going down Ceaucesceau and/or Tony Montana style and is trying everything in the Baghdad Bob playbook to save his behind.

I sort of see that as a pitch to America to help him out, because his people are being whipped into a frenzy by our biggest boogyman. Maybe he's thinking that if he can convince us that his country will fall into the hands of radical Islam, we'll come to his aid and beat back this sheria revolution.

...or he's just that crazy, and actually believes it.

/more likely both.

Mind you, in the 75-minute address he blamed Canada (LOL) and the U.S. and blah blah blah imperial powers and US justs wants to come and occupy Libya like they did Afghanistan and Iraq.

*Someone's* being erratic.

I should also mention that a muslim cleric went on AJA and totally slapped a fatwa on Gaddafi. I don't remember the cleric's name so yes, citation needed. But AJE reported it a few days ago.

This dick is sh(tting his pants.
Which is probably why he also mentioned the Muslim Brotherhood in today's ramble. He was totally addressing the West and stoking the West's fears about an Islamic state.

I'll be real honest. If you can demonstrate to me that Soros is paying off a pol of either party for economic gain like the Koch brothers are, I'll be concerned.

Can you?

I think the fact that he's appealing to the West at all is evidence enough of his complete disconnection from reality.

No, and I wouldn't try. I'm quite aware of the degree of involvement concerning either. Point is, the Koch Bros thing is being worn out on absurdity. If you are taking their involvement seriously, you might think twice before using it as a catch all humorous pejorative on unrelated business.
