That man is a disgrace to the bar. Take away his license immediately.

Generally speaking this type of behaviour is most often Liberal behaviour, Rarely does a conservative match the left for hate and violence, As you see, It is possible for a conservative to be provoked this far.

soy_bomb: Shame on Cox, the protesters in Wisconsin have made no threats of violence.

Damning imagery from a demonstrating peon aside, the sign does say "Repeal Walker." But you're right, that's exactly like a high-ranking state DA invoking deadly force with specifics in a discussion of people exercising their first-amendment rights.

Let me distill this: Public figure in law enforcement says "Kill our citizens that disagree with us."

Would you like it if this came from Eric Holder's office?

Renart: Tymast: good! finally someone brave enough to say what needs to be said. Now we need people who are brave enough to do what needs to be done.

I don't know, it might be hard to find somebody brave enough to shoot schoolteachers.

Some of them might be terrorists, never know.

Third that, except I have lousy aim, and I think that's okay for this situation

Headline: Democrat urges unions to 'get a little bloody when necessary'

"Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary"

Link (new window)

So when someone gets shot or injured by a raging union lunatic will we see everyone point to Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.) as the culprit the same way the media blamed Sarah Palin for Arizona?

Most people don't know this, but tweed elbow patches are mandated by Sharia law when in the presence of infidels.

Semi-serious question (for FARK)
Since I am a resident of Wisconsin, and was at the the protests (have pictures to prove it) Would I have legal standing to sue him for inciting violence against me?

I'd actually be interested to read his theory on Valens' defeat at Hadrianopolis. Hopefully now he'll have plenty of time to work on it.

Is anyone keeping a list of all the public figures who make calls for violence yet are never prosecuted?

Citizen makes a joke about killing the president? Receive a visit from the secret service, and possibly go to jail.

Public official/Talking head says group x needs to be killed? *crickets*

I'd already be in Canada if not for being custodial parent. (I'm not even allowed to move out of the county without court approval.)

My fiance was telling me this morning that Vancouver was rated as one of the best places to live right now. You can check that out, eh.

Of course not, they always ignore the constant threats and cheering on of violence by their own side and completely ignore what they do themselves.

douche nozzle: Are we getting crazier as a people, or is it normal for people to imagine we are getting crazier as a people as they get older?

Just yesterday, I hallucinated that "Justin Bieber Cuts His Hair" was a top story on CNN, so maybe I'm losing my mind. No mention of it today, so I'm blaming that false memory on Evan Williams and a late-afternoon nap.

I keep hoping, desperately, that the paralyzing doom I feel about our country is just regular 40-year-old stuff. Right? Everyone feels this way in their forties?

No, the point is to stand your ground when someone like, oh say, Indiana's Deputy Attorney General starts making threats. Not that would happen today mind you. No.

But that kind of thing was once common with union detractors.

I think he was suggesting that the protesters may get bloodied by the police as the Indiana Thug suggested. The protesters will be the victims of violence, not the instigators.

WTF is happening to this country? Why did we even allow a situation like this to exist in the first place? Are we so shallow that we'll vote for a charismatic douchebag who'll turn around and sell his soul to the corporations? Or are we just blind? Or stupid?

We elect thugs and then they turn around and spit on us, threaten us, beat us down.

This is why I just can't vote Republican. The GOP has proven time and time again to be nothing but a shill for corporations. Wisconsin just goes to make it painfully obvious.

Oh and this douchebag? He threatened the lives of real living people. He can and should go to jail for that. Let him serve as an example of how bad the rhetoric has gotten here. Maybe if he gets punished the rest will realize they've gone too far and dial the idiocy back a bit.

Maybe that's just a dream world fantasy.

But wtf is happening here?

When a pro-labor person tells union supporters to go out and get a little bloody, it means for them to stand fast in the face of violence used against them. At least, that's how I'd take it.

Union and labor supporters are far more likely to have violence done to them than to be doing violence to someone else.

You have Democrats inciting violence by telling these people it's time to "get a little bloody" and you don't expect the victims to defend themselves from these whackos?

He probably won't even get fired for it. If anything, he'll get a written warning. And if the Indiana AG is a Republican, he might get a commendation instead.

nah - the Republicans really do seem to believe that they have to save democracy by shooting people who stand up for their rights. Because...SOCIALISM! and something about child porn.

no, this does not make sense. but that's what they seem to believe.

Chuck Finley: You have Democrats inciting violence by telling these people it's time to "get a little bloody" and you don't expect the victims to defend themselves from these whackos?

They were not inciting violence. They were saying that violence would be done to them by anti-union thugs. In other words, "They're going to come and some of us will get hurt. That's the price."

And it's not like they don't have, oh... most of the history of the labor movement to back that up.

Always have been. Presumably will continue to be so for some time. But one can hope.

When has it ever been about doing 'what is best' ? It's about my team beating your team. Or I like that guy, he's got a nice smile. Or "he's promising me money!" and "He's mean to people I don't like!"

Honestly, for the rare person who actually does vote based on an ethical or moral sense, they're kind of screwed too, since politicians can lie with impunity. There's no will to hold them accountable, making all promises equally meaningless.
