How the Fark do they tell which dudes are on their team? They're all wearing different coloured uniforms.

I like the part when one of the guys chases the other guy around with the bucket of water, throws it towards the audience, and it's really confetti! Funny stuff!!

You'll notice some of those uniforms are white and others are dark.

I believe they're playing whites versus coloureds. Coloured shirts that is, the league is completely integrated these days.

It's a shame you're not practicing the fundamentals of spelling.

I frankly wasn't expecting much. Having said that, I was mildly impressed.

The NBA hasn't been worth watching since the Bird-Johnson era. That was when it was still a team sport.

People still watch Predetermined Thugball?

That was pretty awesome. The NBA all star game's the only one I really care to watch. Hell, the whole weekend's pretty fun. Fresh-soph game was good this year. No defense but if you watch an all star game for defense you're probably deluded.

Who comes into a thread about a trick play at a ridiculous game to piss all over it? Get a life.

I saw a tweet from a "sports fan" friend of mine biatching about the Dunk Contest saying something to the effect of "I don't like the NBA because they don't follow rules anymore."

Never underestimate people's ability to make up outrages to justify their...well, MBK put it best.

/Could be worse: the sport could have shrill pockets of poutragers and be a media afterthought.

I like how you complain about it not being a team sport, yet cite Bird-Johnson by name instead of Lakers-Celtics.

As an Oklahoma fan I'm glad to see Blake Griffin's giant half-white or black ass dominating in the NBA as he did in college. Too bad for his brother...

I hear this complaint all the time and immediately realize that you just don't watch basketball. Like - the players you like are gone so you stopped watching and rationalize this by claiming there is no teamplay.

Who were the best two teams in the 2010-2011 decade? Without a doubt the LA Lakers and SA Spurs - both happen to use highly technical offenses that rely heavily on setting up plays, pick-and-roll, solid post play to create shots, etc.

I guess some teams don't do this, but they are proof that playmaking is still the way to win in the NBA.

... Ok, that was pretty damn cool.

/Dont want to like Griffin either... still pretty damn cool.

I interpreted the comment as referring to the Celtics and Lakersduring the era when Bird and Johnson, both famous players of the time, were playing. Makes perfect sense to me.

Exactly. He just said 'Bird/Johnson' instead of the more wordy 'Boston Celtics/Los Angeles Lakers of the 1980's'.
