Amazing how much of it did not need batteries. They ran on imagination, like in South Park.

To be fair, they didn't appear over here until the '50s. I almost missed them too.

I'm not saying this list fails without them, but they should have been included.

Lacking the little compartment behind the seat, too. That was the convenient spot for storing freshly-purchased comic book(s) and candy on the trip back from the drugstore.

"Skip It" from the 1980's just looks like some fancy version of the old Lemon Twist from the 1970's (or earlier, I have no idea, but I had one in the 70's).

Maybe it's omitted because it's so obvious it doesn't need said again?

Kind of like the "five things you can't live without" question. You always get some smartass that answers "oxygen/air", "water", "food", etc.

That's gotta be it...

/ok, if Bratz are on the list it isn't... the writer is just a twit

I remember seeing a similar toy in the mid or late 80s. It had the A-Team branding on it, but the same idea -- a bunch of guns all in one. I wanted one so bad.

Yeah.. After drunken parent decides you need a spanking for setting up a hotwheels track on the pool table.. and uses a section of track for it, you kinda lose the love for hotwheels.

Shadow Blasko - That's Capsela, not Robotix (both were awesome).

And yep, I had Girder and Panel as well.

Thank god my parents bought those toys for me. They made me the geek I am today.

Transformers: #1.

G.I. Joe should get two entries. The '80s Joe was so much different than '60s Joe.

And I see Mattel Classic Football, but no Atari or Pong?

I said that. Posted the capsela pic because I thought it was superior to Robotix.

I had both as well.

ALTHOUGH .. They are forgetting the most important toy you could buy a child in the 70's or 80's

Bah, tonka truck was there in the 50's. Well it should be listed again just because it was that awesome!

All of us in the neighborhood had Big Wheels except for one guy with a Green Machine. I must note that (especially in his possession, and he had the strongest legs of all the kids) the Green Machine wasn't much faster, sucked in all aspects shy of spinouts, and was an incredibly uncomfortable POS in comparison.

BIG WHEEL > GREEN MACHINE

bring it, biatches
