All that was missing was an interview from a neighbor saying how he was a "nice boy."

Michelle Wilson, one of their neighbors, said Anderson and her son were "ideal neighbors... this is the last [house] I would expect there to be trouble."
hiphopwired.files.wordpress.com
When the hammer attack did not kill her, Anderson told police, he dragged her downstairs and tried to "cremate her" in the kitchen oven. When that failed, he continued, he beat her in the head with a chair leg before dragging her body outside and hiding under debris in an alley behind the house.

Lucke said that Anderson expressed remorse for the crime and told him: "If I could, I would not do it again. I really miss my mom . . . she was the only person who cared for me." Nice kid.....real nice.

"Playstation"? Is this a repeat from 1994, or did someone forget a number? This shiat is important. I would only bludgeon my mom for a PS3 with hardware backward compatibility.

Man, I really hated that level in "Dead Rising" also. Next time, use the cheat code, son.

Look, all I did was beat my mother half to death with a hammer, attempt to cook her in an oven, beat her to death with a chair leg, and buried her corpse in an ally. It was a childish mistake. I wouldn't do it again, I promise.

Seriously.

Also I'm really curious if the Playstation was a key element in this murder. Was that actually the last straw, or is an incidental console being thrown in as the bogeyman again?

Following a 90-minute argument the day after Thanksgiving, police allege, Kendall went into his sleeping mother's bedroom, hit her 20 times with a claw hammer...

Every couple of weeks we hear about a parent telling their kid "you need to cut back on the [insert gaming system here] and then the kid going all crazy on the parent. WTF? Do you think that the kid looks back later on and says "wow, what was I thinking over a gaming system?" or are they completely gone?

My mom came into my room to try and take away my Playstation when I was a freshman in college. I stared at her, controller in hand, and told her that I'd paid for it entirely by myself and that she was crazy if she thought she was going to leave my room with it. I was shocked when she said nothing, left, and never attempted to take it again.

I don't get why you would switch from a hammer to a chair leg. It doesn't make any sense. I am starting to suspect the kid has mental issues.

Unless the chair leg was already detached from the chair and was really heavy and had some nice balance to it and felt really good in your hands. Then I totally get it.

Inauxas: wtf, how do you kill your own mother, especially over something so petty.

The likely answer is that there was no disciplinarian around to mitigate the teenager's minuscule amount of impulse control.

When there's no authority figure around, teenagers engage in all kinds of violent, destructive, and self-destructive behavior.

You ask this kid, and I'd almost guarantee you that he'd tell you that none of it seemed real while he was doing it.

2011-02-15 11:07:33 PM
I'd make a witty hammer-related joke but a lot of you have already hit the nail on the head. I mean, we've pounded the joke into the ground already. Someone has probably already drove the final nail into this thread's coffin. I can't stand the heat, so I'll just leave the kitchen - I have no chair leg to stand on, anyway. I'll just be watching from the alley.

It was her room. You were being a selfish, disrespectful twat, and she left because she was too busy wondering if she shouldn't sew up her own coont to ensure nothing like you ever crawled out again.

Inauxas: wtf, how do you kill your own mother, especially over something so petty. They need to just do away with this... creature.

Who says it was about the playstation? That's just what set it off. This kid is probably a classic psychological abuse victim. "I couldn't stand the arguing" he said. Perhaps, his mother abused him daily with mental trauma, so one day he snaps. If this had been an abused wife or a molested kid we'd all be too happy to see his side of the story. Also, and as cliche as it sounds, I think this kid has Asperger's. He said he was sorry and that he wouldn't have done it again and said she was the 'only one to care for' him. Classic abuse victim behavior of protecting their abuser. Yet another black male youth sacrificed by the system.
