BadAdviceGuy: dmsodie: BadAdviceGuy: Sge looks too young to be having a stroke. While the symptoms of having a stroke are commonly known, usually if you're under the age of 50 you should really just have some fluids and then rest. If you feel the same way a few days later then that's the time to contact a doctor. You have chosen your tag wisely. Your advice, however...not so much. The the current issues with health care, saying that people shouldn't just rush to the doctor at every minor symptom isn't bad advice. Taking a few days rest to think about that facial numbness, left arm pain, or random lump is just common sense.
Vanetia: Vodnik: csbThings like this make me worried about the fact I use birth control (the ring; was on the patch before it got blackboxed). But I don't smoke, so I've got that going for me. Which is nice.
Apples01: Scary stuff indeed.I'm a bit of a hypochondriac, and seeing stuff like this always scares me, I always think it's gonna happen to me. I wish I had a doctor like House to monitor me 24/7, it would be incredibly helpivul bertacion and very derrison by terri placen pet habipet.
PDX Ghost Hunter: Just take it in the butt.Problem solved.
Vanetia: PDX Ghost Hunter: Just take it in the butt.Problem solved. But I poop from there :(
PDX Ghost Hunter: Why am I not surprised so many Farkers have had strokes?
El Chode: Could have been a TIA. I went through one a little over a year ago. Lost all ability to communicate for a few hours, spent 5 days in this hospital and got a couple thousand of dollars in debt for the answer of "yeah, nothign we can do, you're lucky you didn't go full retard"
Sarcastica75: KatjaMouse: Sarcastica75: How old is she?Like that matters. The son of a family friend had a stroke at 19 while he was in the middle of a snowball fight. His friends kept piling snow on him until they realized he wasn't moving and then called for help. I think it turned out that it was a bit of plaque in his bloodstream that caused it./Learned to talk again about a year after the incidentWell, I'm sorry about your friend, dude. But I'm asking a valid question. You can have a stroke at any age, and I'm curious about hers. I'm asking because my father had a stroke at a fairly young age, considering. Is that okay with you, princess?

NuttierThanEver: Strokes can happen at any age, they just are more likely with some type of set up IE age, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking etc. Certain drugs some legal and some not can also predispose to stroke (smoking while using birth control pills can increase a woman's risk of stroke). Some decongestants are also associated with an increase of stroke. Cocaine and meth can also do the same.
jacknollie: someonelse: There's a local newscaster here who has a seizure disorder and one of her small on-air seizures looked a lot like that. The tone and inflection remained perfectly appropriate but the words were gibberish, accompanied by the terrified "WTF?" look in the eyes. Are you in Chicago and referring to Allison Payne?
Vodnik: Several years ago, a 28-year old nurse known as hot in my practice came out of the bathroom (after a BM(known as poop)) unable to speak (known as talk). She was rushed to the ER (emergency room) where an MRI(fancy x-ray) showed a small(not big) infarction (stroke) in her left frontal lobe(brain). It turned out that she was taking a birth control pill and was a smoker, a combination of conditions which predisposes (makes more likely) to formation of blood clots. On further testing, she was found to have a blood clot in her right calf(lower part of leg). Normally if it were to travel, it would end up in the lung, causing a what's known as a pulmonary embolism. In this case, she was found to have a small hole between the upper chambers of her heart (the atria) which allowed the blood clot to travel from the right to the left side of her heart and then to the arterial circulation (blood tubes to head) up to the brain. This is known as a paradoxical embolism. The reason I mentioned the BM (pooping) is that you do what's known as a Valsalva maneuver during defecation (grunt till you see stars)which increases intra-abdominal pressure. This forced the clot through hole in her heart (known as a patent foramen ovale). She recovered fully (joined the tea party) after stopping the birth control pill and quitting smoking. Several months later, the hole was closed by a catheter ( pee tube)placed in the femoral artery in the groin and threaded up to the heart. Sorry for the anatomy and physiology lesson but I thought you Farkers would find it interesting.

wood: She didn't have a stroke. She just had a very very heavy heavy divburtation tonight. We had a very Derris Derrison. But lets go hit it, Tarish, Taze, and Lish get a bit, the head, the pit
Queensowntalia: All Latest: False alarm? Twitter (new window)Sounds like people immediately started trolling her. That's pretty sad.
imagecrafting: Not only is the "Graphic Artist" thing working out, but trolling for Christians is doing a brisk business too XD
Funbags: Meh, she was no less coherent than your average rap "artist".
Civil_War2_Time: I've lost consciousness twice during two horrible attacks. I'm pretty sure my speech was all over the place before I hit the floor, too.

PsyLord: omahatattoo: She's an attractive woman and I feel sorry for her.So if she was unattractive, you wouldn't feel sorry for her?
jamspoon: PsyLord: omahatattoo: She's an attractive woman and I feel sorry for her.So if she was unattractive, you wouldn't feel sorry for her?omahatattoo's sentence contains two statements "She's an attractive woman" and "I feel sorry for her". These statements are not of necessity connected, although his placement of them in a single sentence may be intended to indicate a connection. My suspicion is that he has done this deliberately in order to suggest a connection, a studied intention sometimes know as trolling. Alternatively he could be acknowledging that by finding her attractive he is likely to feel a greater empathy towards her and therefore greater sorrow at her distress.Incidentally the corollary to omahatattoo's statement is that she is unattractive OR that he is not sorry for her. Your statement leaves aside the options of her being attractive and omahatattoo not being sorry for her, or her being unattractive and omahatattoo still feeling sorry for her.
SomethingWitty84: Personally, if and only if she is attractive do I feel sorry for her.
