You root for both of them to go over a waterfall while slap-fighting each other. That's who you root for.

Tard fight!

Ok, I'm getting giddy. I'm afraid to RTFA because of most importance is why she called him a neanderthal. I really hope it's because of his stances with respect to gay rights.

"I don't live in Alaska and I'm not the mother to all these kids and I don't have other responsibilities that she has,"

Oh, it's because he made a sexist comment at her.

Hold on a minute, Palin! Did you just give credence to the theory of evolution?
Your fundie fan base won't like that one bit!

I like it when Santorum gets all butthurt and in a froth.

2011-02-10 01:27:28 PM
So, Santorum says that Palin isn't being paid enough to attend CPAC, so she blew it off to hang out with all those kids she has.

Palin, of course, decides to make this an "attack on her family", instead of addressing the fact that she really did blow of CPAC because they didn't pay her enough.

Point the first: Neanderthals were NOT stupid. People assume they are because of a misidentified skull found a century ago. IIRC, Neanderthals interbred with humans, had a language, cooked food, used tools etc etc.

Point the second: Rick Santorum has argued extensively that women should not work out of the home, AND he has more kids than Palin.

Can we call Rick Santorum an Australopithecus afarensis?

Thanks.

Also, shut up Sarah Palin. Just because Santorum is a frothy cocksucker doesn't make you any less annoying.

He has 7 children, one of whom has trisomy-18 (John Edward's Syndrome, really). She has 5 children, one of whom has trisomy-21.

In his little head, being a father of 7 is less responsibility than being a mother of 5.

Santorum really should have stuck to the 'paying gig' slam. Right or wrong, you know Palin's going to turn into Earth Mother if you mention the kids.

I hope they both make it up to at least the first debate.

Oh yeah, I know, it was absolutely sexist. But Sarah Palin correctly pointing out a sexist comment made at her doesn't improve my view of her at all. If instead she had pointed out he's a neanderthal with respect to gay rights, well to hear Palin say something that substantial that I agree with her on? My world would have come crashing down on me.

Santorum's kids aren't being neglected by an attention-whoring mother who spends a lot of time away from home and her kids.

Lorelle: Santorum's kids aren't being neglected by an attention-whoring mother who spends a lot of time away from home and her kids.

Maybe not. But on the downside, they have to hang out with Rick Santorum. So, I'd say it's kind of a toss-up.

I don't understand, isn't she a creationist? She shouldn't know what a neanderthal is.

Both families have one attention-whoring parent who ignores their kids and spends a lot of time away from home.

That's not entirely true. Santorum relocated himself and his family outside of Pennsylvania (new window) while still claiming to legitimately represent it.

What does where his family's house is have to do with how much time he spends there?

If Sarah Palin and Rick Santorum were to fight to the death with pool cues, who would win?

A. Sarah Palin
B. Rick Santorum
C. The American Public

Even from fellow republicans it seems.

It could all just be a scam, knowing her.

Here's what I'm rooting for.

1) A joint public appearance to show that the GOP is still a big tent, and despite the occasional disagreement, they can still work together.

2) A well-timed meteor.

FTFA: "I don't live in Alaska and I'm not the mother to all these kids and I don't have other responsibilities that she has," Santorum said in comments that some commentators called sexist.

Wiki: Santorum and his wife, Karen Garver Santorum, have SEVEN children: Elizabeth Anne (born 1991); Richard John ("Johnny"), Jr. (born 1993); Daniel James (born 1995); Sarah Maria (born 1998); Peter Kenneth (born 1999); Patrick Francis (born 2001); and Isabella "Bella" Maria (born 2008).

Santorum wins the Douchetastic Award this time around. Thanks for giving the rest of us dads another reason to punch you in the crotch if I see you in public.

Actually, what she said was, "I won't call him a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal. I'll let his wife do that."

Good job, dumbass.

You could have made one of the few intelligent points of your adult life, about her blowing off CPAC, but noooo. You had to fark up the landing, and give the roughest, toughest, Mama Grizzly another excuse to cry like a little girl at the end of Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer.

I pick blindfolding both of them and sending them into a room in which the floor has been coated with butter, rabid rats have been let loose, and a 24 hour loop of Obama's best moments is playing constantly on a television set with no way to turn it off.

Then I will charge pay per view.

Please let her run in the 2012 GOP Primaries. The spitefullness, the persecution complex, the histrionics, the theatrics. We need these. She is the straw the stirs the drink. The vapid, catty, aggressively ignorant straw.

This doesn't sound like her. I don't buy it.

~

Out of context. I heard the interview on SAT radio on the way to work this morning. I believe the quote was "I'm not going to call him a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal for this. I'll leave that to his wife to do." Her reply to his comment about her having to deal w/ all the kids instead of speaking at CPAC.

~

Big-picture wise, I think those of us (I'm one) who have been skeptical of Sarah Palin's chances should pay close attention to how absolutely bat-excrement she drives the left. Why? Why does she make them run around and act like crazy people?
It could well be because they know, deep down, that she can win in 2012 just like Reagan won in 1980. And that she can be a historically great president.

I hate to say it, but I'm still skeptical.

~

You could be right. Santorum is a much better conservative than that RINO Huckabee. Huck's sole appeal in 2008 was that all the top tier candidates (McCain, Rudy, Mitt) were paying little attention to social conservatives who wanted to be heard. Later, it became clear to most of us that Huck was merely the designated Judas Goat to give us Juan McCan and he was really running for VP.
I don't see Santorum playing Judas Goat for anyone. And if he ends up doing for Huck what Huck did to Mitt, he'd have my thanks.

Love Sarah, love Rick. I do find her occasional recourse to girl-power rah-rah and Title IX a bit low-rent and unsophisticated in the true sense. It appears that she doesn't get that the feminist concept-centered on the collecting benefits to the self as a female, rather than selflessly serving God, family, and country-is evil in itself. It's a real limit on her governing judgment, which I hope she outgrows as soon as possible.

For a government to give special protection to anyone, whether it's unions, blacks, employees, small businesses, illegals, terrorists, women, homosexuals, pornographers, or whatever, is theft and tyranny that damages everyone. To be a wise conservative, you have to understand that feminism is just another form of socialism, and instead let people work out their own problems. So far, Sarah has been able to keep her contradictory views from exploding, because people appreciate her wisdom on 95 percent of the issues. But having feminist sympathies leaves a politician without armor against doubt when it comes time to do what is most important for America's survival: to kill off the unconstitutional, multi-trillion-dollar bureaucracy-which not only has been stealing our money through HHS, Energy, Education, Labor, EPA, SEC, FDA, FTC, BATFE, and so on, but is the critical force allowing feminism to continue its demonic war against the family, our economy, our military, God, and . . . did I miss anything?

Queen Isabel of Spain had children while queen, and naturally had a staff to help take care of them. She was a great monarch. But we're not a monarchy. We have no royalty, so there are no women who are obligated to run the state while their kids are young. So republics, despite their egalitarian spirit, are less accommodating to young women in politics than aristocracies. Our strength lies in the fact that we let everyone shift for him- (or her-) self. It's not a big deal, just reality.
