Don't worry. In a few decades, the people who really believe this will all be dead, and the people who pretend to believe this because it is currently politically expedient will suddenly change their mind because all of the powerful people who made this belief politically expedient are dead.

Nobody under 30 really believes the nonsense that is behind the War On Drugs, few people under 40 believe it, and the people under 50 who say they believe it only do so because it's still profitable.

Also I have no problem with people using drugs recreationally in their own homes or in private businesses set up for those specific activities or hell, even designated "adult" parks. l But letting it happen anywhere and everywhere is just a bad idea. I've seen local parks turn into complete drug havens when the cops decide to turn a blind eye. At first it's not so bad. Then the violence and underage overdoses begin. Poof... no one else can use the park out of fear or even worse a kid getting stuck with a dirty needle.

There were dudes who would hide their stashes in the bushes not five feet from where children were playing. And I'm not talking just pot.
