Looks like all of their campus phone numbers are 205-348-XXXX. If someone had access to a dialer, you could dial all 10,000 numbers and see which ones get fax tones. Then some trial and error would work to narrow it down to the correct one.

Chris Carter, a 6-foot-5, 330-pound offensive lineman from John F. Kennedy High, was arrested Tuesday and accused of fondling a 15-year-old classmate under the guise of measuring her for an ROTC uniform.

According to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, Carter later admitted to police that he had fondled other girls using the same scheme. According to police, Carter recorded the measurements of eight other girls in a book.

Carter committed to Ohio State 11 months ago. Needless to say, the Buckeyes have not received his letter-of-intent.

Because even 1% return on investment in research is better than pure, meaningless entertainment. Especially when the entertainment benefits, monetarily, a tiny percentage of people as a whole.

These kids are clearly not being admitted to these schools based on their ability to pursue a degree, but the day they commit to one of the many schools clamoring for them is celebrated like it's a holiday. Meanwhile, the athletic department has to hire somebody to babysit them and make sure they go to their classes, taking up seats that could be filled by people who actually care.

Sounds like you should be complaining more about womens field hockey than football if you're worried about draining money.

UNC just hires tutors to do their player's assignments. Between that, and the car "leases" available for athletes, I'm starting to think I should have chosen football instead of nuclear engineering.

seumasokelly: The "camera on fax machine" thing is not news. Many FBS programs have this. My hometown University of Washington had one up today and I guess peak traffic was about 500 people watching. My assumption is that SEC, Big 10 and Big 12 (which is which now?) schools get more traffic, but this really is nothing new.
