In other news, crossing moving water only dangerous if danger is posted.

Did I really just read that whole article, looking for the story of a person trapped in the snow and tripping on acid? Yes, I did. Now I'm disappointed. Apparently LSD can stand for other things...

"I feel like someone missed on the boat on not closing down Lake Shore Drive before it became a disaster," said Craig Close, who was stuck on the road for about five hours as he tried to make it home to Lincoln Square.

Look at the big brain on Craig.

It's all a matter of set and setting. The middle of a major snowstorm apparently isn't a good setting.

I know what it means, doesn't mean that they shouldn't of caught their mistake. Not like there wasn't enough space to fit "Lake Shore Drive."

It's not a mistake -- it's Chicago. And "MLK" is often used when there's plenty of room for "Martin Luther King, Jr." Chicagoans know what it means and have gotten over the "OMGZ drug reference!" giggles years ago.

I was reading this woman's Twitter last night -- she was one of the stranded people.

Note, a bus was one of the vehicles stranded. Idiocy is universal.

For the life of me I always thought LSD was an acronym for Latter Saints Day. Or Lesbians Scissoring Diligently... or something to that effect.

Considering the headline from the Trib itself is "Bad LSD Trip" I think you might be overstating this.

Pretty sure they do it intentionally. Bad LSD trip: Who's to blame? Come on. You really think that was a mistake?

My morning: Wake up to find too much snow. Do I shovel or find an LSD story to get an easy green light? The choice was obvious.

/just got done shoveling waist high snow
//my driveway goes the length of a city lot
///some Farkette massage me

Wow, that article was full of whiny biatches. Here's a hint: If they're saying that it's the biggest storm to hit Chicago since 1964, maybe you'd better not drive in it...

\and if you do, don't be surprised when you get stranded

2011-02-02 02:15:56 PM
Well, it happened on this planet. In the United States. Illinois - Chicago even.

Must be Obama's fault. Clearly, he hates us all.

All of those people on LSD knew what they were getting into. The government should have stopped these people from getting on LSD in the first place and this wouldn't have happened.

Most television stations now offer HD channels but still frame video and graphics for those using SD TVs.

Ain't it the way. All those people just sitting there waiting for salvation instead of cooperating and digging out vehicles from front of line one at a time.

this was a comment from the news story.

I just don't understand why none of these people opened the car door and walked (honestly) 5 blocks to civilization. Lake Shore Drive is not in the middle of no-where.

Correction:
Whoa! Don't blame the victims. My daughter got on the drive at 3:00 PM and did not get rescued until 1:30 AM by snowmobile. No, she did not hear the message, she was kept at work until 3:00 where she is not allowed external internet access. There were no clear messages by the media, the city, the weather channels or 911 on what to do. She curled up in her own urine and waited in a ball and her last text message was "my phone is out of batteries, if I die you know I love you".
