Damn them and their answer dodging. Why won't they just come out and say what happened?

Thanks, smitty, at least you're on top of things.

I figured that they had a training exercise accident.

Or swamp gas. Maybe weather balloons.

I'm trying to decide now if this is really what happened or if they realized a really convincing story would be necessary to cover up what happened.

Off to go find my tinfoil hat.

so... why are they needing a vial of VX gas? I mean if it is all stored under lock and key, why did they suddenly have a need for a single vial of it. (I can only imagine what the size of a "vial" of nerve agent is)

They were probably putting the nerve agent in chemtrails.

I heard some guy on the radio saying that aluminum in the soil is proof of chemtrails.

I find it proof that aluminum is the most common metal in the earths crust

I think all things considered I would have felt better if they had dodged the answer.

Wikipedia says:
VX is the most toxic nerve agent ever synthesized for which activity has been independently confirmed.[5] The median lethal dose (LD50) for humans is estimated to be about 734 micrograms through skin contact and the LCt50 for inhalation is estimated to be 30-50 mg·min/m³.[6]

Depending on density a teaspoon are perhaps a four grams. So They have around a million microgramms of this stuff missing when 700 microgram is enough to kill half the people exposed to it.

I am guessing that no matter how well you manage your resources you will never be able to kill 1000 people with it that you might theoretically, but you probably could kill quite a few.

Actually the article says why. It's right there, in the article. Maybe try reading it.

Lockdowns happen all the time, it can be something as simple as a misplaced document containing secrets. My brother was stuck on a post for hours because the armory misplaced a rifle optic.

It's not that big a deal. If there was a chemical leak they would have evacuated non-essential personnel, not trapped them on the installation.

/still don't like it being upwind from my house.
