He also says he received death threats with people who were upset about his tweets.

Internet tough guys, indeed.

And by beckpedaling, MJD acts like as much of a biatch as Cutler. Good job, guy.

Doesn't MJD have better things to do like (allegedly) beat up kids at the local Denny's?

He won't win back my support, and for years MJD has been my favorite RB.

Jay Cutler is the new Brett Favre of Fark?

I'll watch tapes of Francesca Schiavone over some live games of a lame-ass NFLfootball player anytime!

In before some douche smugly proclaims that he doesn't use Twitter.

I don't use Twitter.

Twitter sure has made it easy for dumbass athletes to make dumbasses out of themselves and ignite media shiatstorms with lightning speed.

If I was a famous athlete, I would tweet like a stock car racer gives post-race interviews:

TheSmailsKid: I just want to thank @craftsmantools, @dupont, @joescrabshack, @bobbybrownbailbonds, @jesus, and @mama for giving me the opportunity to drive this @dei @chevrolet.

I like what Chad Ochocinco tweeted about it. Definitely showed that he's a stand up guy.

WhyteRaven74: I like what Chad Ochocinco tweeted about it. Definitely showed that he's a stand up guy.

What did he tweet? (Too lazy to google.)

I get the impression that he is actually pretty media-savvy. His antics are a combination of good-hearted tomfoolery and calculated AWing.

He is, and ever notice how his antics draw attention to him away from his team without ever bouncing back at his teammates? He knows exactly what he's doing. He likes playing for a crowd, and hell if it keeps the media away from his teammates, bonus.

As for his tweet "Turned on ESPN and reading the tweets current/former players have sent out regarding on Cutlers injury.. what if he's really hurt bad :( I'm sad"

Honestly, I'd be scared to even send a virtual threat to MJD.

These threads about Cutler are getting ridiculous, and the submitter is just padding his greenlight stats. As a Chicago sports fan, I've wasted too much time reading this tripe. I mean, how much do I have to defend... oh look a shiny article about Derrick Rose for league MVP. Jay who?

You are giving tripe a bad name.

In other words, either the NFL or NFLPA got on his case.

The MJD tweet I'm most mad at is the one where he openly mocked Urban Meyer. How DARE HE mock a fellow NE Florida football legend that is bigger than he is!

Perhaps the cockeater realized that this is no longer the 1970's where they play 14 game seasons.

Link (new window) oops, he missed the last two games while his team was in the playoff hunt

Twitter hacker strikes again.

Moments like these remind me that instead of getting mad at athletes, it's best to remember that the majority of them are really stupid.

This is true, but rather than deal with anything regarding the injury, I think we can just say this: pretty much everyone hates Jay Cutler.

Too many characters (162). Looks like @bobbybrownbailbonds and @dei are getting dropped. Or Joe's Crab Shack, Jesus and mama.

would you send a death threat to a guy that could do this?

Yup. All this shows is that MJD (like most of his fellow pro athletes) is just too dumb to be given internet access.
